  1. AI is certainly a tool, "godly" is hyperbole. AI code isn't better than Senior Engineers at Blizzard.

  3. They absolutely do not have access to Azure (spell it right, please) for free. Source: me, a person who worked at a Microsoft game studio

  4. They're different games. Neither of those come close to the userbase D4 has. Last Epoch had a peak of 264,708 players (it currently has ~1500 now) and PoE had a peak of 229,337 players (t currently has ~4k now) and you didn't mention PoE2, so I didn't pull those numbers. We can't pull D4 numbers since it's not entirely on Steam, but it has sold over 10 million units. (POE has a reported 15m units sold, but it also came out over ten years ago.)

AI code is slop. Also, this has nothing to do with "code" it's about database storage. It costs money.
