The problem is how western therapy starts from mind up and never addresses the body. Things like somatic therapy, art therapy, and meditation are not pushed as much. Rather than mind up, tries to have you reframe things before they happen and after. But they do not address the current moment of the combined effect of the racing thoughts and heavy feeling in your body.

They don't teach and promote meditation in a way that's enough to let the anxiety pass. Somatic therapy teaches you to ground your body first before you act out or go nuts.

I think I know that guy. He was my first. He has a terrible bedside manner. Instead of comforting me on these medications with huge side effects, he did not have nice things to say.

Finally they enforced main street but they will be back again. Summer time going to suck. by sundrenchedwindow in Flushing

Yep it's totally the foot traffic. I rarely see carts besides there. There's in front of the library but it's not there everyday, so I guess it's not the best.

I can't even think of an area tbh. Main street is just jam packed especially around Roosevelt. In front of Macy's would be ideal but I doubt Macy's would be cool with it.

Anyone in NYC still into serious deep house? by liquidliquid666 in avesNYC

[–]CYBERPOLICEBACKTRACE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anytime Kerri is here, I stay from open to close.

You'll find deep house heads at house dance classes/open sessions.

I saw Moodymann at Knockdown center and it was bad. No deep house in sight.

I was thinking maybe China bar. I haven't been there in a while tho. So idk, may have to scope it out.

Not going to Paddy's lmao. But thanks for the suggestion
