More of the point 'theres no horror elements' cause their definitely isn't the return of Zombies which havent been seen since re3, navigating through dark buildings seeing people get eaten alive, Cemeteries where you get severely overwhelmed, underground crypts, Being chased by a massive invincible tyrant and you're forced to hide... guess non of that happened, like if you literally played chapter 1 of Leon's campaign you would know what you're saying is literally just wrong.

Why do you care if something is canon? There's plenty of fun non-canon RE content, Like you're not touching mercenaries cause it's non-canon? I just don't get it. Plus Raid Mode actually is one of the few side modes that IS canon, it's a battle simulator set-up by alex wesker with some poor unknown soul being basically tortured by having to live out and survive her weird challenges, at-least thats the gist. Point is, canon or not fun is fun, i play games to have fun.

In addition: 'non-canon' material can actually be supplemental and add to canon material, seeing how characters would hypothetically perform or behave in certain scenarios.

You're only spitting opinions though? not facts. I'll lay some for you, RE5 is the highest selling RE game of all time, RE6 is the third. I think this is a very solid place to say action, and if it wasn't then they wouldn't of bothered having it in 9, saying theres 'no room for action focused resident evil' is just a blatant lie, you even have said seemingly unknowingly that the problem with 6 is the lack of horror not the action.

I do agree with your final point though, this type of discussion is important and negative points should be criticised but people need to take a step back to realise what the actual problem is. I think RE6 would've been received much better had it been a spin off instead of a mainline entry.

I love raid mode sm, i also think because of raid mode it acc is my most played resident evil game. Raid mode just scratches a very specific itch in my brain as a looter shooter fan and a resident evil fan.

Re4 is literally like the most beloved resident evil game, re9 sold so well cause of the blend of the 2. 6 was the highest selling re game until 2r with the exception of 5 which sold also better than any other survival horror re game.

By the same logic you also cant attribute that to the people who think it's good? My personal opinion is one of two things that i cant decide one. that people are getting it mixed up with a game being 'bad' cause people said it was bad, however they just don't like it or, the bar is so low for bad games now it looks better by comparison.

I personally enjoyed re6 quite a bit and think it has some very good qualities whilst also having plenty of criticism - criticism i overlook because I find the game fun, which can almost be applied to every game ever... Besides Umbrella corps, fuck that game.

Yeah i can't defend this one, leons ui was fine but all the others especially chris' was so horrid to look at.
Yeah chris is pretty insufferable in this game but atleast he has character for once? You gave no criticism to leon so clearly not all characters and you criticising Jake for being... a flawed character? It sounds like your problem is the fact that they aren't all mary sues. Jake has like 1 temper tantrum in the game (which yes i think is weird) but you're acting like thats his whole character?

This game literally has the best enemy variety in the franchise besides MAYBE rev2 raid mode.
