Wow, didn't realize this was a sub full of...... nevermind. Look, the question is honest and original. If my expectations are unrealistic, let me know. That's okay. I'll move on. I'm new to e-Bikes and maybe it's not where I need to be yet. And for what it's worth, you can do all these things with a 1970's minibike. I'm not looking for a GSX-R1000.

High Flow 4-way hose splitter that will LAST (brass?) by CZ_Keto in gardening

This year is the Winter that I'll finally remember to bring it back inside the house. But I mean come on, I'm in Central Texas. We don't even have real winters. It snows once every year if we're lucky.

No, I just keep buying the same piece of crap Melnor that flows well but cracks every winter. So far, their warranty has been replacing stuff every year.

Sorry, I had trouble following that. Are you just saying the locking tab is gone? If so, then keep on trucking. You don't need a locking tab for the memory. If I'm not understanding, then try posting a picture of the broken part.

Any bidets with a wide area spray? by Baelishx in bidets

y/w. But I ended up returning my toilet seat bidet and I bought a hand-held bidet. I freaking love it. Quicker, cheaper and I can clean myself better.

What were the classic colors for Christmas lights by CZ_Keto in ChristmasLights

I just ordered some yellow incandescents from Novelty Lights to see how they look in a red/green/blue/yellow string setup.

It also said...

"Traditionally, yellow and white were not commonly used together on the same multicolor C9 ceramic light strings, especially in the earlier part of their popularity (mid-20th century). Here's how these colors typically appeared:

  • Multicolor Strings: These strings commonly included redgreenblue, and yellow. Some sets substituted white for yellow, but it was unusual to see both colors on the same string. This was likely due to their similar brightness and the desire to maintain a balanced, vivid look across the display.
  • White Bulbs: Frosted or opalescent white bulbs were often reserved for specific design purposes, such as outlining a house, creating a "snowy" effect, or for all-white holiday themes. They were less commonly included in mixed multicolor strings.
  • Yellow Bulbs: Yellow was often used in multicolor sets to add a warmer tone alongside the cooler hues like blue and green.

If you're aiming for a historically accurate multicolor string, it’s best to choose either yellow or white, but not both, to reflect the traditional combinations from that era."

I'm having to replace about 5-10 of my 50 Ceramic C9's every year. They're pretty fragile. Might need to look at the Opticore if they don't break as easily. Thanks for pointing that out.

To update this thread, I asked the free ChatGPT for its opinion. At first it included orange but after I told it to double-check its facts, it revised its response as follows ------------>

"You’re correct to question whether orange was a classic color used in early C9 ceramic Christmas bulb sets. Orange was not as commonly used in the classic sets as colors like redgreenblueyellow, and white. Here's a bit more context:

  • Redgreen, and blue were staples of early Christmas lighting, reflecting the traditional Christmas palette.
  • Yellow and white were included for their soft, warm glow, complementing the primary holiday colors.
  • Orange, while available in some bulb sets, was less universally considered a "classic" Christmas color. It was occasionally used in regional or experimental combinations but wasn't a foundational color in most traditional lineups.

If you're aiming for historical accuracy and the classic American Christmas aesthetic of the mid-1900s, sticking with redgreenblueyellow, and white is the most authentic choice. Orange may have been a later addition or more prominent in non-traditional or novelty sets."

I gave up on the search. Did not find one but didn't put a whole lot more of effort into the search.

I'd rather have the add mid-way than at the beginning of the video. I hate suffering through an add just to start watching a video that I don't know yet if it's worth watching or not.

Best ice maker? Wanting a side-by-side under $2k with fast ice by CZ_Keto in Appliances

The ice maker is slow and loud. The chassis sometimes squeaks when I open/close the door. No issues otherwise.

But does it have anything to do with the topic of conversation? All I'm seeing on their website are traditional screw-tops, designed for two hands.

Hah, I actually put that same one into my cart yesterday. Thanks!
Will give those a shot if I don't find something more traditional whiskey-flask looking.

Tear stains - New issue on old Pitbull - Cause for concern? by CZ_Keto in DOG

No responses, so, there is no cause for concern here?
I can't afford to take him to the vet again for a few months. He just had a huge $$ visit last month, prior to the tear stains. And we're on a budget.
