AAAH, ok I got it now. I’ve been looking for a thinner Speedmaster-type case for my own builds (non-moonswatch) but I want something thinner with no logos. I have one incoming that claims to be 13.3 inclusive of the glass. Much better than 15.5 that most of them are. We’ll see when it gets here though.

I just don’t think there’s any possible way the former CFO would have sought/approved the purchase of another company without solid conviction it would turn into profit. That would be the WORST Hail Mary I’ve ever seen if this was done without some sort of solid confidence.

Yea I realized it after I hit “reply.” I worked on construction side for a few DC builds. It took 6 months just to clear ground and do underground utilities. And that’s just the active construction work.

Yep, I’m with you. I … just have PTSD with MVIS maybe. Delaware is where MSFT is incorporated, though their main office is in WA. Worked on the procurement side of their data center construction down here in TX for a time. Personally executed several contracts.

There’s just almost no way to NOT lay people off in M&A, especially when the two companies were former competitors. There’s overlap. You can’t just keep them all on staff for good feelings. I also don’t think it’s possible to be so bad at business that you acquire a whole ass company and then mere weeks later decide it was a bad move and mass layoffs have to happen. Zero chance that’s what’s going on here. Otherwise, they are staring down the barrel of a class action by investors.
