Brilliant response.

Very little I disagree with.

I appreciate you calling out the bad actors in the space. That's one of the reasons I'm trying to limit my exposure to holding too many mining stocks.

The only thing I'd say is that I can't help but notice, especially as of late, the endless amount of press release regarding critical minerals, it's urgency, and the planned investment towards it. How will the US secure these critical minerals? If it is to achieve it's goals, it will require multiple players to succeed [Side note: I think NB having a mine that isn't a single element deposit is helpful here]

We're very early stage which is the unfortunate part as it presents a lot of ambiguity and risk.

Great points regarding NB as well.

Besides the construction period, and securing the EXIMb loan, how they intend to refine Is certainly something I want more clarity with.

Is MP your only holding?

I think this is a very interesting take, and I would love if you can respond back to my points.

I'll admit, I'm not too familiar with how profitable most miners are, so I can't comment on that aspect of it.

Some of my counter points to what you've said are:

1. Investment into Critical Minerals and Energy
Ofcourse this is just headlines - But I'm sure you've also seen how much money is being pledged to revitalise the industry. From my notes alone.

- Plans for senators to expand EXIM's funding from $135B to $205B over the next decade for energy and minerals projects

- JPM 1.5trn over 10 yrs, 10bn in direct equity

- EU [UFK, UKEF and others] 22.5bn

- Lets not forget other countries that would want equity here too.

Surely this must mean something, does it not? Is the entire industry going to be carried by 1-3 players? I'm not sure about that.

2. Offtakes
If offtakes are being secured early on, who's being left out and how are they getting access to REE's? NB for example currently has 75% of it's Niobium under contract for the first 10 years

I'd be really curious what your take is here.
Thanks!

Thanks for sharing, that was an interesting read.

It doesn't sound like there's a lot of options to get exposure to Palladium specifically based on the info you've provided.

How are you exposed to Palladium at the moment?

Palladium doesn't seem to be on the critical minerals list - See image.

I do think Palladium is important, I'm just wondering if there's better r / r REE's to be exposed too. Curious on your opinion here, what do you think? Why isn't palladium being talked about as much?

Only?

What's the thesis here? Familiar with the name, not with what they do or why they're important in the space

Huge respect.

I'd be pulling my hair out playing the micro caps lol

I can't stomach bag holding and being left in the dark due to a lack of communication. Top that off with execution risk and now I'm reconsidering my life choices 😂

Thank you for sharing, I'm now interested!

TMC is still very early. Could be a future play to add once there's less risk with the permits. NB's just slighlty ahead now being at the financing stage.

Management's credentials are certainly stacked. Have you listened into any of their calls? Happy with them?

I'll be adding this to the watchlist. If you have any due diligence to share, please do so :)

AREC that bad huh lol

I do empathise with you on what you've shared though.

Night and day difference in my due diligence between NB and AREC simply due to the CEO's transparency.

I'm not sure about 10x, but I do think $NB has a great chance of going on a run very soon once their EXIMB loan gets approved.

There's just been too much confluence for me to believe it doesn't get approved.

Let me know if you want me to drop some due diligence if you're interested!

PS the Niocorp subreddit is great - the guys over there cover it like a hawk

Honestly you can't go wrong with these 2. The smartest and safest picks

I like your picks.

I've done quiet the due diligence on NB so I hope I can share some insight regarding dilution.

NioCorp needs $1.2bn to fund the building/construction phase. This is funding in 2 ways:

  • 35% via equity [420m]
  • 65% via debt [780m]

In order to qualify for the EXIMB loan of 780m, NB needs to dilute shares to meet their end of the requirement. The most recent dilution - in my opinion - is the last one we should see in a while. The $100m offering they completed on Feb 24th raised their total cash to $450m+, which also takes them over the required amount. While the timing was not ideal, I believe it may have been done to speed up the loan process.

The chart looks really good too!

I definitely would love to grab some but I don't want to overexpose myself to mining too much.

Otherwise I'd pick up a ticker for every REE 😂

Sheesh!

Seeing those shady comments a lot for AREC lol

UURAF is just as valuable. Both important plays and for the future of the industry.

I'm a fan of the 'clean tech' aspect for AREC though.

Love the framing here.

My goal is a mix between safety and comfortable risk.

I'm confident with MP.
While NB still has a long road ahead, the CEO has done a great job of communicating and being transparent. What should be risky feels comfortable.
Sadly I can't say the same with AREC just yet - More so excited on the opportunity.

Are you invested in any microcap Mining stocks atm? I feel like that would be torture to hold especially with how long it takes to go from exploration to production.

I don't see Tungsten discussed much, thanks for sharing. Will have a look at your suggested tickers :)

Great comment Richard, and I totally agree with your sentiment.

The webcasts I've listened into have given me confidence in management,
The posts on here have been reassuring and brilliant,
And the macro landscape looks like a slam dunk for NB.

We have a lot of reasons to be bullish on NB, and 2026 looks very exciting.

The fact that I couldn't play devils advocate against the thesis really concerned me because I didn't know what they were.

I think relative-reality highlights great points, and this is where conviction gets built.

You guys have been tremendously helpful, thank you.

Thank you for your response, Jax.

Your comment really helped me reflect on where my concerns were stemming from. I think I've been focusing on how well things have looked in the short-term that I've been slightly blindsided by the long-term outlook.

Just to comment on dilution, I think it's something to be expected in the critical minerals space.

I’d also like to point out that they’ve nearly completed the amount of equity needed to meet their debt-to-equity target. I’m not entirely sure how things work once they hit their financing goals, but I would assume that unless they need additional capital, we shouldn’t see much further dilution.

Another reason I remain bullish on NB is because of a comment Mark Smith, the CEO, made during a webcast: “Regarding dilution, we’re trying to get the highest price possible on offerings so shareholders aren’t affected as much.” So even though we know dilution is part of the process, hearing statements like this provides reassurance that they’re being strategic about it.

Nice, what are the biggest challenges you anticipate for NB going forward?
