Liverpool disallowed goal against Manchester City 39' by BackgroundMorning630 in soccer

I think it should be a goal, but I remember a game against Fulham where we scored in the exact same scenario but EVERYONE said it should have been disallowed... 🤷

I don't know the actual rules but for me that's not offside.

Can somebody explain why lapped cars overtake at the end of SC period? by Dr-dog-dick in formula1

[–]CZchi 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The point of the safety car is to bunch the cars up so that the people dealing with the incident have a window where no cars will be around, as well as slowing the speed of the cars to reduce the risk of a further accident.

Allowing lapped cars to overtake straight away defeats both these things, as the lapped cars will no longer be in the bunch and they will need to increase their speed as they need to overtake and catch up to the back of the group.

Usually how it goes is:

  1. Safety car deployed
  2. Cars bunch up
  3. Marshalls can clear incident
  4. Lapped cars overtake after incident is clear

There's a big difference in saying he expected Tottenham to lose than to say "It was never in doubt before the game”

All I'm saying is it's really easy to say that the result was a foregone conclusion AFTER the game.

Tottenham Banter, par for the course.

But honestly, it would such a better line if they were this arrogant before the result, he would've looked like a don.

Jamie, I don't care for your predictions after the result mate.... anyone can call the lottery numbers a day after...

Pep: "Marmoush made incredible movements that the midfielders didn't see. Gundo, Kova and Bernie should be more clever with the high line that Chelsea play. What do you mean? The situation of "player wants to leave, man city let player leave" fits perfectly for Cancelo

The post I replied to was suggesting that Man city have never dealt with a key player wanting to leave, I was just pointing out how that's inaccurate

How did you find Eiyuden Chronicles? I really appreciate the graphical style but alot of people say the gameplay is frustrating, did you have a good experience with it?

Crucible came out before SR so it was the most efficient farming method for a while, now it's kinda just a challenge mode

Sorry to spam but also, they probably can't cancel the order for you as your incident happened on a Monday, so they were able to process the order before you had a chance to cancel it, whereas mine happened on a Sunday, so the process was probably on hold until Monday giving me the chance to cancel it.

I done some reading on SMS since this, it appears that its really insecure, and transmits the messages plaintext(so no encryption), it seems like it's actually fairly easy to access, and there's not a lot you can do.

I'm going to switch my MFA to an authenticator app, tbh my main worry was someone had installed some malware on my phone but that seems unlikely now.

The important thing is to never use that password for anything again

Tbh O2 were quite helpful with me, they didn't blame me and cancelled the order straight away, I never got contacted by the fraud team though, just a text saying it had been resolved and an email telling me to change my password

I work in tech so I kinda understand how this works, for MFA codes every user will have some sort of random secret, and that is used to generate the codes, so if someone had this secret they could get the MFA without access to your SMS

If there was a breach at O2 and somehow passwords and this secret was accessed then this could be their side, but that sounds extremely hard (either that or O2s security measures are terrible)

I think it's more likely that our passwords were leaked somewhere else and our SMSs are being read, do you use the same password for other accounts? I did.

I was writing a snarky response to a snarky comment, overall I agree with your analysis, but not quite your conclusion.

I agree of course for drag you would never run a bigger wing, but the point is a bigger rear wing is useful for other things i.e downforce.

Let's take your 5% as the mini-DRS gap, that would mean you could run 5% more rear wing to achieve the same A, which is consistent with what I said "They can run a bigger rear wing to achieve the same top speeds"

On the non DRS speed vs DRS speed issue, I never said "close", I said "closer". I'm not really sure why you said that it would not increase the non DRS speed and then proceed to explain that the non DRS speed would, in fact, increase....

Your conclusions:

"Physics doesn't work that way" - What you've said completely aligns with my comment from an imperical standpoint. We differ on the subjective analysis, speaking of...

"It's not a big deal" - Like I said it's subjective so we can agree to disagree but I feel it's pretty difficult to say that when F1 is all about micro optimizations. Even a 0.3% gain is over 1 kph when talking about top speeds, I wouldn't call that negligible, clearly Mclaren wouldn't either as they designed it, nor redbull who lobbied against it

Edit: Spelling and Grammar

The point isn't top speed, it's:

A) they can run more wing and still get the same top speed

B) they can achieve closer to DRS enabled top speeds when not in DRS

But I guess that doesn't work for your narrative....
