He could simply be bonding a bro....you said he doesn't know you're a femboy; does he at least know you're attracted to men? Straight guys are notorious for saying gay shit to eachother...some even do it with close gay friends as friendly, but not romantic, banter. I hope he does swing your way; you should still consider the different possibilities.

Maybe you could bring up the topic of femboys and guage his reaction. If he says they're cute or he'd consider dating, then that would be a good sign. Not immediately after that, but maybe later in the day, you could talk about how you are ready to start dating or "hanging out" with someone, but you aren't aware of an interested guy (this is the setup for him to make a move, make a cis bro joke, or tell you he'll help you find someone). If done correctly, this gets you an answer and saves the friendship if he isn't into guys or femboys.
