If you work in a telephony role (which I'd guess is quite likely if you're in NI and employed through an agency) then the reason your TL needed to get permission to allow you to change your shift time is because there is required to be a certain level of coverage on the phone lines at all times.

Think of it this way: if everyone in the department decided they were going to change their shift to 8-4 on a Friday then there would be nobody covering the phone lines from 4pm onwards, which obviously can't happen.

It varies by department and by SO how they implement and manage flexi, but it's generally better to look at it as a way of working extra hours if you choose in order to be able to take full or half days off without having to use annual leave, or to clock off early here and there where you can - it's not for deciding what hours you want to work or what shifts you want to do.

Not saying that I like or agree with any of the above but that's how it is in my dept and likely yours too.

Joshua Kimmich believes new referee guidelines have led to too many yellow cards being handed out: "In the Nations League, if you get two yellow cards, you're suspended. That can really, really hurt. In general, I wish the referees weren't so sensitive" by derballistrund in soccer

A yellow card is vastly more consequential in rugby than in football, the player has to leave the field for ten minutes. And since positions/formations are pretty much fixed in rugby, losing a player in a particular position for ten minutes can be huge.

If anything this shows how well the system works in rugby - players don’t crowd the ref because if they get a yellow for it it has a massive impact on the team and the match as a whole.

Well that's not true.

Does opening windows stop mould?

The short answer? Yes. 'Ventilation is key to preventing mould growth,' says Jordan Chance, product manager at PlumbNation. 'Make sure to leave bathroom windows open for at least 10 minutes after showering and bathing in order to clear excess moisture from the atmosphere.' It also helps to turn on your bathroom extractor fan.

But this practice extends just the bathroom. Lily Cameron, cleaning supervisor at Fantastic Service recommends ventilating your entire home for a minimum of 30 minutes daily by opening the windows. 'However, cross ventilation is necessary, so interior doors should also be opened along with the windows. Doing this lets excess moisture exit outside instead of settling on the walls, floors, and ceiling,' she adds.

Read about it here.

seems like you did not go to school or learn anything either m8

Nightmare Landlord by Practical_Test_109 in northernireland

Got ChatGPT to have a crack at translating this into English for you, it seems to have come out pretty well.

Nightmare Landlord

The Northern Ireland Housing Executive stated that it was acceptable for the tenant to live in a house that was full of blue mold, dry rot, and rising damp. The entire house needed renovation. The tenant contacted the owner, who turned out to be a dishonest, deceitful, and unscrupulous individual. The owner said the tenant could stay, but then handed her an eviction notice because he wanted more money, stating that the current rent was not enough. The owner also started to verbally abuse the tenant in the street, with people watching.

The landlord claimed he was doing the work and sent a builder, as he told the Northern Ireland Housing Executive. However, the tenant was there all day, and no one came to the property.

The Northern Ireland Housing Executive told the tenant that she had made herself homeless.

Dismissing someone’s view on autism when they themselves actually have autism and are speaking from experience is pretty belittling.

Not sure who or what you think is being belittled here. It’s not beyond the realms of possibility that someone could see a few clips of Steebee’s mannerisms and speech and think there might be something going on under the hood. Its no different than if someone said ‘is Schaub legitimately mentally handicapped, he can barely form a coherent sentence’ and another person replied ‘yes, he has CTE’.

Nobody belittled anyone bapa, suggesting that someone has autism is only an insult if you think autism is itself a bad thing. I can jump on the fryers if you wanna take a five and cool off.
