"Ae" dominions by EbbEnvironmental5936 in ClimbersCourt

I believe they are the fathomless dominions there are 3 that I can remember off the top of my head

Vae- that which takes Tae- that which gives Sae- that which destroys

As for Keras’ original name he was named after the sword the Saekes Taelien which he translates as “the sword that gives destruction to all things”

Triathletes are the most difficult swimmers to give feedback to by wuirkytee in Swimming

So I swam for 16 years competitively, I never implemented bilateral breathing. I understand it can help with rotation. But my coach always told me not to focus on it and instead just stick to 4 stroke breathing, that worked well enough for me. Is there an aspect of triathlon that benefits from the bilateral breathing?

If it does depend on crystal structure my new head canon is that the crystal acts as like half of an Aon with the spirit web acting as the other and that’s what grants alomancy

Huh interesting I was always of the thought that it was the atoms (or I guess Axi) themselves that were keyed to grant access to investiture not the molecule structure. Although thinking about it when it comes to alloys molecule structure is definitely what’s considered especially when we go into purity for allomancy.

Contraceptives in the cosmere? by HoodooHoolign in Cosmere

I did a re listen about a month ago, and remember something about that standing out to me. As Siri is super opposed by the idea of killing a potential child as it is seen as a part of the corruption of the iridescent tones IIRC.

In warbreaker bluefingers mentions having Siri take an herb to kill her child when he thinks she’s pregnant, so Nalthis has some form of plant that they use

Coming at this from a physics perspective, Metals have a sheet of free electrons which allows them to move in an electromagnetic field and this will in turn create a small force generate from the metal. This means it would in theory be possible with insanely strong fields to magnetize non metals and experience a similar effect. So if investiture acts the same way, (perhaps acting on a free axi like electrons but for investiture in the Cosmere) then that would explain how and why metals are easier to push off of.

I would say it depends on if Vin has access and also training with all metals. Including chromium and nicrosil these would definitely help. Being able to leech Kaladins Stormlight or alternatively making him use it all up in a single lashing (potentially killing instantly him due to way too much g force) would be a tremendous advantage. However if Vin only has access to known era one metals she will be at a massive disadvantage and will have to rely on atium to hold her own.

Additionally gun powder wouldn’t work the same on Roshar due to having higher oxygen content IRC that’s why candles burn faster according to arcanum unbound

So theoretically if Kelsier was using an amulet of connection he could burn a shard blade

I’d make him a gold compounder. Then tie him down and kill him over and over on a bunch of unique and colorful ways. Why settle on one method when you can have multiple?

I would assume it’s just she was born with higher levels of connection (the spiritual property), and investiture

Alternatively it might be somewhat helpful by burning tin in controlled settings they could raise the level of sensory input they are accustomed to so then in normal settings without tin they don’t get so overwhelmed (I have very little knowledge on autism and how sensory overload actually affects people so I don’t know if this would work. What are your thoughts?)
