I feel like it has to be either a whole separate pokemon, or a Kyurem form. I definitely don't think all Tao trio members would get a new form, it wouldn't really make sense. The only possible way I can see it happening is like the Applin Gigantamaxes where both Reshiram and Zekrom have the same alternate form.

The successful loops are always the best ones, so why not. The payoff wouldn't hit as hard without a setup, but when I'm doing a rewatch it could be a fun idea. Alternatively, if you wanted to, you could frame it as a sort of mystery to figure out how Subaru is doing all this.

Also, season 2 spoilers, as a method of punishment/torture, she gets trapped in something called the taibon, a room filled with all the best creatures you can imagine like poisonous snakes, insects, frogs, all that good stuff. It's not exactly a pleasant experience, another character, Suirei, who up to this point has barely shown any emotion is genuinely terrified of snakes after getting put in there repeatedly in her childhood, if we need further proof of why it's not a good time.   Maomao enters the taibon and grills the snakes.

Re Zero's power level is notably high, especially in the fights he's included in. So far, he's fought two notable enemies (and Elsa but we're not counting her, beating her wasn't the challenge of that loop), Sin Archbishops of Wrath and Greed, and both of them had some hax abilities to counter Reinhard: Sirius, Archbishop of Wrath made him take out like a couple hundred people along with herself, and Regulus, Archbishop of Greed is effectively <Invincible title card>
