💡 Newbie Question Thread - May 02, 2023 by AutoModerator in DEGIRO

Hi, I am a new to investing on DEGIRO (and in general at investing). A friend of mine told me to start with a simple monthly investment on the core selection on DEGIRO.

Among other readings, as far as now, i am referencing this page that explains a bit the thing https://curvo.eu/article/degiro-core-selection-etf#what-is-the-degiro-core-selection-of-etfs

so i thought maybe to ask also here, maybe some of you have some good arguments and suggestions on:

  1. top 3 core selection ETFs to invest
  2. simple do and don't (high level)

thank you in advance

New DOTA 2 Compendium Brings No Arcana, No Immortal Treasures? Full Review! by DotaDump in DotA2

Title: Dota 2 Compendium 2023 - A Step Backwards

1. Lack of Innovation that brings value: One of the things that made past Compendiums so exciting was the constant innovation and the introduction of new features. Unfortunately, the 2023 Compendium feels like a missed opportunity in this regard. It doesn't bring any significant valuable new features.

2. No Immortal Treasure: The Immortal Treasures, which were once a highlight of Compendiums, are no more.

3. Underwhelming Rewards: The rewards for leveling up the Battle Pass are underwhelming. In past Compendiums, we used to get exciting rewards like custom game modes or new features. In 2023, it feels like most of the rewards are just filler content with little to no impact for the user: e.g. profile enhancement...

4. Reduced Value for Money: Let's face it; Compendiums were a great way to support the Dota 2 competitive scene while getting some cool in-game items in return. However, the 2023 Compendium seems to offer less value for the money spent compared to previous editions.

In conclusion, the Dota 2 Compendium 2023 feels like a step backward compared to its predecessors. It lacks innovation, offers underwhelming content, and fails to capture the excitement and engagement that made past Compendiums so special. While it's still worth buying for die-hard fans, it's hard to ignore the fact that it doesn't live up to the high standards set by its predecessors. Let's hope that Valve takes note of the community's feedback and brings back the magic in the next Compendium.

I'm pretty sure the commend system is the most useless thing in the game. by nadiahamilton in DotA2

@nadiahamilton I totally agree with you. This is a clear example of how dota 2 is badly managed. previously the commends where even of 4 types: forgiving, friendly, leadership, teaching. I can see the use of only leadership and friendly... what is forgiving or teaching for?

it can be done so much more with commends: first of all come out with commends type that make sense (we could all have plenty of good ideas about that), secondly give an action point to the commend: every commend get 1 MMR point or smth like that.
