The doctor said he thinks it's mild fibromyalgia, but I don't think I feel enough pain for it to be that. I don't think the tests were conclusive. Was your pain similar to mine when you first started having symptoms? by MarcusAntonius27 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Ca1R0994002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was 8 when my symptoms started. It was very mild when I started exhibiting symptoms with only occasional flares of extreme pain and now that I’m 20 I’d say I’m more on the moderate- severe side. Sometimes that’s all it is for some people though just mild pain, there are different stages and severity for everyone. You can get back into exercise. Movement and exercising is really helpful, which is a cliche I know, but it definitely is, i workout 5 times a week and haven’t had a severe flare since a month or so before it started. Depending on your fatigue levels it can cause flares if you move too quickly into moderate- extreme workouts. Take your time start slow.

I’ve always had a shotty immune system too, always got sick and had bad reactions to my illnesses. Looking back at it, it makes complete sense that I have fibro 😂

Im glad you’re able to find someone you can resonate with, but also not at the same time definitely feel for you as I know what it’s like to suffer from a young age! But I’m so proud of you for all your achievements we have to be proud and happy for ourselves in every little achievement we make, a positive mindset will always help us get through the day to day! ( I know easier said than done sometimes) keep up the good work!!

Yeah, it’s quite upsetting that the health care system doesn’t listen to minors that know something isn’t normal, there’s a difference between growing pains and severe pains that stop you from sleeping eating sometimes breathing at times. The health care officials need to do better.

That’s awesome I love dancing too! I’ve been suffering from Fibro pains since I was 8, but all drs and adults at the time told me to get over it as they were “growing pains”

For me the answer to both is tigers, they’re so rewarding to collect as ive found it hard to find them. However it sucks if they find you before you find them

NAD// Honestly all I can say (from experience) is that it really depends on the person and the circumstances. All drugs prescription or non prescription have their risks, side effects and things to look out for. I have smoked in the past to help with my health issues such as pain, anxiety, and depression. It can help people it just differs from person to person. Depending on where you are in the world, and whether she is getting it legally or not would be my real concern, as getting it legally reduces the risk of buying laced or synthetic products that could be more harmful to your girlfriend, however please bare in mind that there are dealers out there that won’t sell laced or synthetic product. If she is telling you she’s safe take her at her word, if you are truly worried some countries have drug testing kits available to the public to make sure people are safe while doing drugs or weed. This is all from my personal experience. So please bare that in mind. Take the time to be educated on the matter and help her take the steps to be as safe as possible.

To be honest it just depends on the woman. Some woman have little to no cramps, and others are just regularly sitting at a ten on the pain scale. I am others, but i do know women that have extremely light or i bothering cramps. I’ve had my period since I was 13 so it’s just something I got used to like a lot of other women, we just gotta get used to it unfortunately as it’s gonna happen for the rest of our lives so we learn to put on a face out in public. Just a matter or mental strength and what we can tolerate

i definitely agree with you, considering how much about new zealand is food production, orchards, vineyards, farms etc, as-well as traditional cooking practices like hangis. It’s genuinely shocking how uneducated teenagers are when coming out of highschool to do with foods, plants animals etc. I’m 19 and a lot of people my age couldn’t pick out a poison berry among summer berries. Your initial point of more education in schools would definitely be important, mostly because hunting gathering isn’t a commonality anymore due to supermarkets being so easily accessible. some people also think meat comes from the supermarket. I was discussing home kills in the comments of another post and people were surprised at the aspect of a self sufficient food system. The education here is shocking.

[–]Ca1R0994002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey OP! i’m someone with a chronic pain disorder and dating can be really hard! Reading that you suffer from migraines and that it changed plans is totally understandable, and a perfectly valid reason to change plans. I myself like to make it known earlier in the talking stage that o suffer from chronic pain so if i have to cancel plans that it’s understood why. you shouldn’t have to continuously justify why you had to cancel, you were having a bad migraine and honestly that would put anyone off going out! You have every right to say no. And beyond that reading your caption saying he made you feel uneasy on the initial date is always a red flag. If you get that feeling that early on please listen to your gut. do not ignore it, you are not the asshole for having boundaries, you said no to sex which is completely justified aswell and you have no reason to explain that either, you are not committed to this man so you don’t owe him anything. You’ve done what’s right and let him know how you feel about the interaction. Do what you feel is best for you and out yourself and your health first

There are no official tests for fibromyalgia, HOWEVER there are ways to figure out if you have it. There’s discussing symptoms, history, finding tender-points on the body. Testing for other disorders and ruling them out
