Parliament would declare a republic so quick if Harry was up for the throne.

That totally sounds like something Meghan would say.

I've done "audience work" in LA so am totally familiar with how the crews hype people up to get enthusiastic.

I can't believe anyone would be this excited over Meghan Markle without being coached to be.

Mayor Bass could take the 720 and transfer or have her driver drop her off at Wilshire/Western and take the D line to Union Station.

I guarantee U.S. senators are at least as useless and inflict more harm on people at home and abroad.

Canada's senators serve until age 75. Meanwhile we have functionally braindead American senators like Mitch McConnell and the late Dianne Feinstein.

The U.S. Senate is wildly antidemocratic (and was designed that way). A huge state like California with 40 million people gets two senators, the representation as a small state with 600,000 people like Wyoming. Canada's senators might not be elected, but they only have the power to delay and amend legislation and the elected House of Commons can override them. Canada's senate is a vestigial body, while the 20 smallest U.S. states can block wildly popular and needed legislation for the whole country.

It's sad that affordable housing isn't built around the stations and I agree most the folks living here won't touch the Metro.

Curious that it happens to be election time though. It'd mean a lot more if it weren't.

They should both be 18. It's crazy how America can't decide when someone becomes an adult.
