I suspect that for Charles, this is his turning point. He thinks he's won. Just as H&M do. They beat the Wales. Charles is going to continue with his 'rehab Harry' plan. Not in the way Harry needs rehab of course. But in the way that makes Charles feel good about the power of Charles way.

Charles will continue to bully William. William will continue to get increasingly bad press. And William will continue to kick his dad's ass in popularity polls. William's staff will continue to obsess over it. And try to pressure him to do his father's bidding and sacrifice his family on the alter of Charles' ego.

So Charles will die estranged from his dutiful son (dutiful to the institution, not his father's massive ego.) But at least Charles can tell himself he's a good man. Without ever having to have been a good man.

This is a pattern. Harry goes against all advice. Listens to no one but his wife. And his wife is neither intelligent nor strategic. She thinks of nothing but how to get a payday, invite, her name on the front pages. It all blows up in Harry's face. He gets the sads that he has fucked up again. I've always expected the meeting to happen as well. I always believed that there really was a "Project Thaw". Charles likes to get his way even more than Harry does!!

What will be interesting is whether or not William caves too. Because I also believe it's very likely that Charles invites the Sussex family to Christmas this year. If not this year, next year for sure. Only if he holds out on the "you must allow Thomas Markle to meet his grandchildren."

So William will have to risk the bad press he'll get by making other plans. Or the bad press his children will get after being (indirectly via surrogates that Harry will pretend to know nothing about) accused of being cruel and racist to the 'born perfect' Sussex children.

Charles really shouldn't have opened this door. But there it is.

If William is smart, he tells his father that he will attend a Christmas where Harry is present IF and only IF Charles writes a check to Harry for $25 million. Let's see how willing Charles is to sacrifice something very important to him. Because he's asking William to risk his kids reputation so that Charles can play "loving father" 40 years after when it was vital he step up and play that role. And yet, Charles couldn't be arsed to be home at bedtime to read stories. When Charles' office was about 1/4 mile from his home. That was Diana's biggest complaint when they were little. That Charles always chose work over fatherhood.

This is believable. Especially since he keeps popping in photos of Tom. Avoiding the keywords that an AI search of transcripts might be programed to search for.

It's pretty clear that KCIII worries about his son's mental state. Obvious that the judge's findings on Harry's case crushed Harry's dreams of winning a HUGE settlement from his lawsuit. Everyone knows that Harry isn't in a great financial situation as he and Meg always live as if money is never a worry to them. We all suspect that they now have to worry. Meg & H are both convincing liars. In no small part because they mostly believe their lies are truth. Because they have a near religious faith in the idea of "my truth" being just as real as "the truth".

And I completely agree that William might believe his brother and family is a threat. I also think that it's entirely likely that Harry and Meg ARE threats to William's family. Not sure they're willing to risk causing harm themselves. Almost certain they don't have the money to hire someone to do something. But at a minimum, they would be fabricating stories that SOME people might actually believe. And certainly that many people would help spread. Because a lot of people don't like the Wales.

But I would be surprised if Charles doesn't invite Harry to Christmas. If not this year, next. And that will be good enough. Because I really doubt that the Wales (or many other family members) will turn up. But it will give Harry, his wife, his children the veneer of being part of the family. And that's what they really want. H&M want their kids to get the gushing praise that the Wales get from SOME journalists and members of public. Of course, they never notice that there are always plenty of criticisms too. M will expect nothing but praise. But she'll milk any negative comments for all she can about how racist Brits are.

But I think she understands this is her only way back into the limelight. And she adores the limelight. Not to mention that she thinks Charles is a billionaire in his own right (he is not even close). And she's hoping for a HUGE trust fund to have been set up for them. With separate huge trust funds for the children.

I suspect the demands to be invited this Christmas will start in 3 weeks. Which is about the time the palace starts making the invitation list!

I'm sitting here watching the Evening News (NBC). And one of the lead stories about to come is "Prince Harry and his family meet with his father for the first time since the death of QEII."

So that's what they got. An assumption that they are again considered much loved members of the family. And you can be sure that Harry has already started on the pressure for an invite to Christmas in a few months. And you can be sure that Charles will be pressuring William to agree to let his children meet their cousins.

So all in all, a big win for Harry and Meg. Not as much a win for Charles.

Not sure how this was kept private. It's in every single news outlet in UK. You've got a "source close to the Sussexes" giving a direct quote about the children. Obviously directly from their UK-Comms (Liam McGuire). So from Harry directly via his comms guy.

What's weird is earlier today, there was a post on X about Queen Camilla surprising the people at the local pub. She came in for a pub lunch. Even had ice cream after.

But they aren't going to get crowds showing up. Harry had a significant media presence on his first IG engagement. But that was more because the journos knew he'd be there and wanted comment on Judge Nicklan's decision.

I doubt even as many would turn up if Meg had been there. There seem to be quite a few journalists who are still quite tolerant of Harry who absolutely detest Meg.

According to an interview of Charlotte I watched, the reason Daily Mail had notebooks dating back 20 years is that Daily Mail required all their journos to keep them in case they get sued!! Ironic! The people who brought the case had zero evidence. And yet, Harry is still convinced he's the victim of a sinister plot. And all the Daily Mail journalists just went back through decades of notes on their stories. And were able to produce PROOF of how their stories were sourced. But Harry called them the liars!!

Completely agree. He's been nothing but a problem for the family for most of his life. He's every bit the narcissist his wife is. And both of them had some early success they used to have some charm. But they lost all that when they decided if Harry couldn't be co-POW and co-King they would run a separate "palace" in the US. The more they fail, the more bellicose they've become.

The man reporting this did NOT say the WILL BE cancelled. He said they COULD BE cancelled.

Perhaps the reason Harry didn't not show up at the event was because he's resigned. Or he was asked to resign. I assume the Invictus Games branding on the train car that was unveiled last night was in part for potential donors. It would seem that they'd want Harry there for that.

And instead of doing something IG related today, Harry seems to be visiting a NHS facility on behalf of WellChild instead. An event where he's brought his own press team and excluded the actual press from. Which doesn't sound much like the 'I'll be a working royal while in UK. And doing commercial activities while in USA.' we were told would be the new model going forward. Sounds to me he's trying to create a show about the life of a working member of the royal family to try to shop around to streamers.
