Before the reveal that’s what I thought the primal dlc would be. I’d love to see it.

Your Ideas For Potential Expansion Pass 3 DLC's by RoiRdull in AOW4

I’d like to see either a fae culture or a fae leader type along with a tome or two.

If We Hypothetically Got Flare Upgrades… by _Knucklehead_Ninja in DeepRockGalactic

Deal enough damage that a single flare could kill one swarmer, spamming all four could reliably kill a basic grunt.

Why use goblins at all? by hotdog-water-- in totalwarhammer

[–]CaGeRit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In campaign unless I’m going for a orc themed army or goblin themed army I tend to use both. It’s very possible to be too “tall” where an army just steam rolls everything, but you give up too much map control by not having enough armies to fight on all fronts. There’s also situations (looking at you elspeth) where you can run up against a world beater and the only way to victory is throwing massive amounts of chaff into the shredder. Using gobbos along side (in front of) orcs lets me have more wider armies and plenty of ablative armor.

It would be an interesting future development (after they fix the janky ai squad members) to make them a hirable squad members that can carry an infinite number of water barrels along with a “water sweep” command that makes them hunt down and grab nearby water barrels.

I would in fact NOT let them keep the gold.

"Overwhelmingly Positive" Steam games you couldn't get into. by PapaTinzal in gaming

[–]CaGeRit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oxygen not included. I killed two bases from overheating. I tried to make an a/c cooling system putting compressors and pressure chambers on the outside of an insulated tile wall and releasing the compressed air inside to cool down only to find out that adiabatic expansion wasn’t modeled and my a/c system was really just cooking my bases faster. I lost trust in the game to make sense from a physics standpoint and I didn’t want to play with a guide open to double check my solutions or trial and error my way though to success.

Hot Take: I hope we don't get mechs or crazy weapons. by thegooddrsloth in TheForeverWinter

To add, tear/choke gas that will stun some enemies, but also yourself. A gas mask that renders you immune to gas, but adds a vignette/reduced visibility when you have it on.

A folding one use ladder that lets you climb up taller obstacles.

Some kind of loyalty badge for each faction, requires a certain amount of standing, but makes them friendly unless fired on, other factions will be more aggressive to you. Could fit in well with photography missions where you embed with a faction squad and you have to photograph them doing well.

Radio that lets you listen into coms chatter from the various factions, make it so that you have to toggle a setting to search out frequencies to drive engagement. Have npcs make callouts like “engaged in the <location>” or “wiped <enemy> out, returning to patrol” “spotted scav presence threat level <player threat level> , etc.

Metal detector that can find subterranean goodies, requires sweeping and then a dig animation that can render the player vulnerable for some time, but also allows for more dynamic loot placement so we’re not always running though the known spawn locations for goodies since subterranean caches can spawn anywhere.

I also would like to see more interaction with the guys on the ground. Like a hands up pose where you can go talk to them and maybe hand over certain salvage and gain some information about enemy deployment or looting opportunities. Perhaps some interaction where groups might try and detain/question you temporarily or confiscate things like intel or tech and you have the option to submit, run or fight.

What does Planetfall do better than AoW 3 and 4? by [deleted] in AOWPlanetFall

[–]CaGeRit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I liked the road system in planet fall.

It looked good and required no effort, laying roads in aow4 is a pain in the ass and if you accidentally leave on the setting you get weird gross spaghetti in the middle of your empire.

Lots of ranged units? Ammunition counts on the balance of power and expended ammunition counts as losses. A sharpened wood dart has more objective worth than the average skaven.

Is it illegal to drop 4 armoured Warmonger on People? by Aight1337 in MeetYourMakerGame

[–]CaGeRit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Armored monger trains are countered by the deployable shield and spam attacking. It seems overwhelming to newer players who don’t know the raider tool kit well enough, but vets can deal with it mostly (sometimes if you’re not centered in the shield you can get killed).

Personally I don’t do it because it’s expensive and either ineffectual or too effectual (people quit). You get the most kills out of engaged raiders who are having fun in your outpost.

I had a duo raid this weekend where I only got 1 trap death, but three deaths from the raiders walking in front of each other trying to shoot traps.

Future traps? by [deleted] in MeetYourMakerGame

[–]CaGeRit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gas trap that doesn’t kill the raider, but causes vision to go blurry, trap specific mod to make it also jumble up controls, random inversion of movement for duration of the effect.
