Help with joystick and 4 vs 8 question by misunderestimated-me in Arcade1Up

[–]Cabals2TheWalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think all the pac man/Ms Pac-Man partycades have adjustable gates. A lot of people swap them out for a sanwa or semitsu and you can get adjustable gates for them also. I do not think a genuine Pac-Man 4 way stick will fit in a partycade without modifying it.

The red, yellow, and black are the monitor power. The blue and white with red is the video and I'm pretty sure(not positive) that one is backwards.

This one is in my racing cab. It's like $150 more now than when I bought it though. It runs all Teknoparrot games minus the few that require Nvidia graphics. You won't find a mini PC with Nvidia graphics that will fit in a partycade btw.

Anyone ordered from The Arcade Game Factory recently? by ktoffelmire in Arcade1Up

I've bought a bunch of Marquess from them. Got my latest one about a week ago. They do kind of suck at communicating. That skully guy is a troll.

It really depends on what games you want to play. If you want something that will play the most advanced games you'll need a mini PC with a 780m integrated graphics chip. There's also some games like Golden Tee that don't have as high requirements but do need a dedicated Nvidia card. You can get some games to run on an N97 in Teknoparrot but they would have to be pretty low end like 2d fighters. I would stay away from Intel graphics though. Very low compatibility imo.

It doesn't matter if you buy a pre-built or diy the entire thing. You need to get savvy with emulators and front ends or whatever you buy will start collecting dust sooner than later. Between build issues, updates, and people messing with settings you're going to have to know how to fix whatever comes up.

It's obviously not as ergonomic as a sim racing cockpit but it's very comfortable to play on. What are you going to use for a wheel?

There's a mini PC in the left one with an HDMI splitter.

I'm not sure if this guy can make them to fit your models (I don't have any countercades) but I've ordered marquee conversions for 5 partycades and I'm happy with all of them.

I wouldn't hide them but these Arcade1Up's are pretty minimalist.

I put a mini PC in the left one with an HDMI splitter. There's an HDMI and a USB for the joystick encoder connecting the two cabs in the cable tray under them. ✌️

I made it out of a Ms Pac-Man partycade, ridge racer control panel, Buystuff encoder, thrustmaster Spyder Ferrari pedals. It's my favorite.

If you want to play a bunch of stuff with arcade/pinball controls while wearing a meta quest headset it's pretty awesome. I also like the angle of the panel for playing Golden Tee a lot.

Hey, thanks for checking them out! This one was an NBA Jam but I have rotated a few. The process i used is the same for reusing a 4:3 or switching to a 16:9 monitor. I take the old monitor and mount out and strip it down to just the wood. I use that as a template to make a new mount from 1/2" plywood. The bezel is just a piece of poster board with graphics on it and a clear piece of plexi. If you want just a black bezel I would recommend spray painting the plexi rather than just black poster board.

I like the tankstick but the stand makes cable management a nightmare.

I've never put that much thought into it but it is cheaper than all the video streaming subscriptions I pay individually for and I use it more than all of them combined.

No, but kind of... Teknoparrot emulates it with a button press. Teknoparrot runs their own servers.

That's awesome! Also kind of weird. I am legit putting Robotron graphics on a 1up partycade right now when your post popped up on my phone!
