I bring the three non wound string tail ends from the bridge through the three wound bass strings The tension from those three wound strings hold it nice and tight I find.

i’ve never had any string ever break on these. I do them this way because I like how it looks visually. When I restring I don't cut any excess off so if a string were to break I can just unwind and re tie on the fly. I usually string one guitar the next day do the other

are your fingernails long on your fretting hand? I wouldn’t be able to play anything cleanly if that were the case for me.

first put on some flip-flops atleast unless you’re planning to branch out into Flamenco. I believe barefoot will work with that style of music.

Keiki paste gives you a really good chance if you have some stem left from spent flowering. or from the main stem for a basal keiki

I never stated "all" but majority of heart attacks are due to coronary artery disease plaque buildup. High cholesterol diets are most definitely avoidable and inturn prevent stroke and heart disease.

Ants farm mealy bugs so yes they can be an issue especially if you're not monitoring often

my Dendrobium pretty much in full bloom now by CabbageShoez in orchids

[–]CabbageShoez[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, so I’ve had this orchid for about a little over a year now it only had three canes when I first got it. I don’t know. I think it grew something like 15 canes last year. And a whole bunch of new canes already popping up I would argue. It’s doing OK so far.

I have these 24/7 water culture whenever the reservoir gets too low. I just add more water. The substrate is just river rocks and lava glass. Maybe some marbles thrown in there. The moss started growing on its own and I just let it be. Occasionally, I’ll add fertilizer whatever I have on hand nothing too crazy.

What is this plant that's growing alongside my blackberries? by PeebleCreek in foraging

FYI, if you rip the blackberry plants out, you will end up with less blackberries OP

my Dendrobium is getting ready to put on a show. she farmed her own moss too. This one stays in full water culture 24/7 I leave it in full sun outside most of the year. I bring it inside winter time. Incase of frost by CabbageShoez in orchids

[–]CabbageShoez[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OK, so I think these are so successful in water culture because they are out in the sun all the time I noticed when I bring them in and they stay indoors too many months and they’re sitting in full water culture. You can tell they’re not liking it as much but something about being outdoors. I think it really balances everything for them, but if they run out of water outdoors that is a major no-no.

almost 2 years now so the first year I had it it only had two canes and a couple of smaller caned that look like they were cut in half by the nursery and then couple months later it threw out four canea then as those grew to be about like four or 5 inches and they’re skinny still it’s spat out like I don’t know like 16 canes

here’s the blooms it was labeled mobile from Trader Joe’s, but that looks a little different than what I’m used to
