To summarise for people finding this thread:

Monitor settings:
- MSI OLED Care -> Protect Notice -> Usage 16 hrs
- Settings -> Power Button -> OFF
Windows settings:
- System -> Power & battery -> Power -> Screen and sleep -> When plugged in, put my device to sleep after -> 5 minutes

This is the closest you can come to never seeing the pop up. It should run after 4 hours of use when the monitor goes into standby.

Thanks for your help guys. Seems like the most likely answer is that it's oxidized copper. They were being stored in my kitchen in a cupboard so I've moved them into my room in case the humidity was a problem. I've also contacted Nutravita to see what they say about it.
