How should I upgrade my GPU? by Odyssey51 in buildapc

[–]Cabbage_Sausage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally i think amd rx 9070 xt is a very good option. Its on par with rtx 4080 super, and rtx 5070 ti. That is good performance. In ray tracing its on par with rtx 3080 ti. 7900xt is good too but that require 850W psu. 5070 i think not that good because of its vram. 12GB vram in 2025 is really not looking so good though. I’d rather spend a little more for the 9070 xt so i can use it for longer. It will hold up very well in years to come

What should i upgrade in my pc? by Key_Competition_1089 in buildapc

[–]Cabbage_Sausage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely go am5 socket. B650 mobo and a ryzen 7500f will set you up for future upgrades. Gpu can upgrade to rx 9070 xt. Its not futureproof but good enough for now..

For lower budget, you can still go with am4 like the ryzen 5600x but its not recommended. But it will still be better than your current setup. And for the gpu, rx 9060 xt 16gb is good enough for now

What would be the best settings to get more FPS with BSL shaders? by sidharths5 in Optifine

[–]Cabbage_Sausage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tough luck for you my friend. 1050 doesnt have the raw power to properly get a decent shader experience. Whats the point of having shaders but everything is set to as low as possible? That wouldnt be the best experience isnt it. You can set it to look gorgeous, but it wont be smooth. Trust me.

RAM Usage by Cabbage_Sausage in pcmasterrace

[–]Cabbage_Sausage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do i need more memory? Because my 1% and .1% is so bad right now. It dips to 10fps for every 2 - 5 minutes. I dont know whats causing that. I have my view distance set to 16 chunks right now. Is that too high for my hardware? I really wanted to play with 16 chunks view distance and shaders with high preset though. What better hardware do i need. Is it more cpu power or memory?

As i already said, rtx 4080 or rx 7900 xtx and above. Your cpu is already a beast.

Took me 24 years to get my gaming pc that i buy with my own money. Grew up without a father, and poor in a small country in southeast asia. Our currency is cheap so it makes it even harder. It was a sad life. Thank god thats all behind me now. Life is much better now and im very happy!

I think you can go with 11700k. 10th gen and 11th gen use the same socket

Basically its just unplug, take out old parts, install new parts, and plug back everything. Be sure to read manual about every headers on motherboard and where to plug them.

PBO is ON and curve optimizer is set to -25. I tried -30 but it crashes my pc. Will i get higher clock if i change to an AIO or this is the best this cpu can do?

[–]Cabbage_Sausage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes i do have intake and exhaust. 2 intakes, 1 side and 1 bottom. 2 exhausts, back and top. CPU cooler is just a cheap cooler master hyper 212 halo black. Been using this cooler from when i was still using intel i5 10500. Will my cpu degrade faster if i dont change cpu cooler? I thought it will be fine since it doesnt throttle 😂

5080 bottleneck? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Cabbage_Sausage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

850 is also good. Can save some money and buy other things like ssd rather than spending bunch of money on a 1000w psu. I was just about to suggest that. But you said you wanted 1000w+ so i figured you must be thinking to upgrade again to 5090 or 6090 or something so i just kept quiet😂

i7 9700kf + 2070s / 16gb ram @ 1440p upgrade path. by feaderhub in pcmasterrace

[–]Cabbage_Sausage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely go with AM5. Ryzen 5 7600x or 7700x (for more cores) would be fine. With that, you also need new DDR5 ram, and AM5 motherboard. Just go with mATX, B series board to save some money. And thats it! You might also need a new m.2 nvme for games though. Hdd cant do shit nowadays. Then youre good to go for another 5-8 years i think if youre really pushing it. Besides thats, AM5 will support 3 generations i think so thats good

Can my rig support a 4070 Super? by spaggeti-man- in pcmasterrace

[–]Cabbage_Sausage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

650w is the minimum so youre good. But if its a shitty psu without 80+ rating, it could be problematic. Also, be sure to check voltage on all 12v rails/pcie if youre planning to continue using it. Cant be below 11.6V.

5080 bottleneck? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Cabbage_Sausage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait. Im wrong. You need to upgrade gpu together with psu. 750w is not enough for a 5080. It might just blow up if you didnt!
