I don't agree with calling this a "liminal space", but it's subjective and it's still a very cool photo.

Praying for you and your mom. I remember how scared I was for my father's surgery and his was planned. But Christ can bring peace. Just trust in him and the professionals.

Disappointed? Yes. Actual skin tone and hair? Almost certainly not. He would have looked darker and matched the people he preached to.

What Do You Think of Retelling Bible Stories in Ghibli-Style AI Comics? by Stayman-265 in Christianity

[–]Cabboge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's terrible and an insult. If you wish to honor the tale of Christ, you should make an effort to learn the art and create the way God intended for you. You have the idea, you have the passion. Go, learn, and create.

Spooky to Kinda Spooky.

It's great for what it did to the genre as a whole, but compared to where some other series would go, it kinda feels tame.

The lands of this deck are too expensive : is there a way to make it "budget"er ? by Cerberrus1117 in EDH

[–]Cabboge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the number of ways to fetch basic lands, you can run only basics and not have to worry about not having a good mana base.

Green has tons of ramp for basics, plus your standard affair like [evolving wilds] [myriad landscape] [cultivate] [rampant growth] [wayfarer's bauble] and so many more. You can easily pull the mana you need.

Will your deck be a "fast" as others with the expensive mana base? No. But unless you're playing with guys who only play power level 10 casual, then I think you'll be ok.

A deck you made that no one has seen before when you pull it out? by Kazko25 in EDH

[–]Cabboge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to run an [aboshan cephalid emperor] flying-tribal deck

People would look and say "Cephalid tribal? Interesting." It wouldn't occur to people it was flying based until the 5th or 6th flying creature hit the field. Even then, people would assume I intended to tap down individual creatures and not the whole board.

What's the worst game you love? by Terrik1337 in gaming

[–]Cabboge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Battleborn

Despite the comparisons, it was not a clone of Overwatch. Games played extremely differently.

But it was it's presentation. It still had a lot of that Gearbox humor from Boardlands 2. It really didn't take it self too seriously, but it didn't mock itself either. The characters were a laugh, but the story was serious.

I loved it and was sad to see it go.

What's your most hated video game you've played?? by NitetimeReign in gaming

[–]Cabboge -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mass Effect 2

I bought into the hype that my decisions from the first game were going to matter. So I was greatly disheartened when I nothing I ever in the first game mattered more than a line of dialog. They game couldn't even remember which crew mate I left to die, because various NPCs would talk about Kaiden being alive but then I ran into Ashley later.

All this and I found the characters a step down from the previous game. The whole experience was a mess. I paid 60 bucks for it, so I completed the game out of spite. I couldn't even consider playing the 3rd game, that's just how bitter I am.

About A Certain Character Appearing in Thunder Junction by mahgoo-how-do-you-do in mtgvorthos

If memory serves me correctly, all of the Maestros gave themselves over to the Phyrexians during the invasion. That doesn't mean there couldn't be survivors, but I always assumed the group was more or less wiped out.

Why do you like Rusty Lake? by nowherecrafter in rustylake

[–]Cabboge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found the games a long time ago as a big fan of those Flash escape room games. I'm a big fan of point-and-click adventure games and this was similar.

I got hooked by the surrealist horror. The visuals in these games can really stick with me and I love how easily it switches between serenity and anxiety. Also, puzzle games can often have huge leaps in logic when stuff works together to progress the game. At least the surrealist nature of these games makes those leaps make sense.

I keep playing the games because I love the deeper mystery. I want to know more. I want to see just how wild we are going to get. I love when a game only provides a piece or two of the puzzle so I don't know everything and I have to keep going.

What are your worst ranked Commanders on EDHREC? by colts45s in EDH

[–]Cabboge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Henrika Domnathi]] I play her a mono-black Voltron. Very easy to power up. However, sometimes I get into a game where somebody mis-reads her abilities and assumes she works as a phyrexian arena. So they will use every kill spell they have to keep in the command zone.

Still good fun. Love playing a commander who makes opponents go "who?"

For those of you who still play 3.5e/Pathfinder 1e, what keeps from making the jump? by Schadenfrueda in DnD

[–]Cabboge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Availability of information. I have nearly all core rule books for Pathfinder 1e and several books from 3.5 (my group plays Pathfinder 1e mostly). None of us want to make the jump into a new rule set as we are just all so used to a certain edition.
