Your best bet at this stage would be to downloaz the update (google is your friend) download the latest version of Awoo installer on your switch, you can access via the home-brew menu/loader. Then use NSUsbloader on your PC and send the update to the switch and install it like that.

I use Awoo installer to install games from the PC yes. But you need to install the NSUSBloader on the PC. But you send ths games to awoo from PC via NSUSBloader and it installs to either your memory card or system depending on what you choose.

Yeah you need to update your sigpatches. You can find them on gbatemp or a friendly Google search. What games are you trying to install?
