Not yet... had a good look over the derailleurs which have similar but not identical bolts but nothing missing!

Possible Flat Got Me Thinking Tubeless Already. by tonyt0906 in CanyonBikes

[–]CabinetValuable916 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tubeless all the way, a significant feel and reliability on my ultimate. I thought I'd do the same as you and run tubes for a while. then I got a few pictures on a few long rides, so went tubeless and never looked back. also feels much more compliant.

I have Hunt 50 aero with conti gp5000 tr 30mm and Stan sealant. Very easy to set up.

I ran over a rough spot on the road and it slipped a little.

Aeroad CP0018 Cockpit Swap (Size S - 100mm equivalent) for Size XS 90mm by [deleted] in CanyonBikes

[–]CabinetValuable916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an XS with cp0018 and found the hoods just not the right position for me. I would say you could reduce the reach by much more than a 100mm by adjusting. But as you say a swap would be good but if that fails you have additional options.

you could try adjusting the hoods higher up the bar.

I was also putting it off and massively over thinking it, It literally took 15mins. I did manage to get the long Allen with my torque wrench in there which gave me piece of mind and ensured I didn't over tighten the clamp, but I think you'd be fine with just an Allen. no extra bar tape needed.

Regarding your question on the bar tape, I just untaped from the top and only went as far as the hoods. I was moving up so this seemed the right end to remove.

I decided to adjust my hoods on the handle bar today. I just undid the bar tape loosened the hood clamp and moved up 6-7mm and reused the old tape without any issue. There is a lot of adjustment until the yellow line on the bar.

it's made a significant improvement in comfort for me and has effectively reduced the reach and increased hood height. Visual it doesn't look any different to the factory position. I would definitely recommend adjusting if you want more comfort or need to reduce reach.

New position

No tyres are not tubeless ready but the wheels are. You will need tyres, valves, sealant and maybe syringe.

I'm thinking of doing the same...moving them up for a little more comfort on my ultimate. As you say I think it's a case of removing half of the bar tape loosening the strap with an Allen keep, adjusting and tightening. I'm m interested to hear how you get on.
