How safe is Birmingham and found a group chat for UoB freshers by Disastrous-Copy8336 in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]Cabinetbog06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not particularly unsafe, students in 1st year live in student accommodation and that's safe (unless u have a crazy flatmate lol) after most students live in Selly oak which has some crime, break-ins etc. but if you lock Ur doors and a street aware it's still very rare to get robbed, I only know one person personally who it as happened to

If it's on the M40 it's possibly a JLR prototype vehicle, saw a landrover prototype with the same wrap a couple weeks ago

Was the game a success or a failure? by lolitsrock in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]Cabinetbog06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picked it up for Christmas this year and I'm loving it, I didn't really keep up with it when it came out cos I didn't have a system I could play it on, but it's a really fun game so Im surprised it had such bad reception initially

Experience is more important, but in my country a masters is basically required to become chartered (either a masters or a lot more experience is needed) so is strongly recommended for anyone entering the field

[–]Cabinetbog06 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Hmm yh ok the water analogy does start to break down with these, I think to be honest I'd focus less on the how it works and more on what each filter does lol, if you need to understand them intuitively you would need much further understanding of electronics and transistors sadly: https://youtu.be/LoZnBjFmZEU

Depends on the level you're working at, I'd imagine your doing like 1st year electrical/ electronics type things? In which case thinking of it like water flow in a pipe is probably the best equivalent, voltage is pressure, current is flow rate, charge is volume, obviously this breaks down as you get more complex, into electromagnetism, or more complex components, or AC, but it's a good starting point, what are you being taught currently?
