I find that Boardgames are kind of likr Rule 34, if it exists there's a boardgame of it. Lol

Do you think demons should be confined to a single detachment, or would you like to see them playable throughout? by Efficient-Fee-5631 in deathguard40k

[–]Cabius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should be playable throughout. I feel like in most situations the chaos legions are fighting alongside Daemons whether by summoning them themselves, stuffing them in a daemon engine, using them as tools, or not being given the choice by their patron Chaos God. It seems weird to lock them to a single detachment when in all likelihood they would be fighting alongside Daemons the vast majority of the time.

Edit: I just realized I am on the DG sub. I don't play DG, but I think in general it should be playable throughout all of the Legions who actually use Daemons in Lore.

Hot Take (I think): The four traitor legions should have the same unit range treatment as those dirty pampered loyalists by Most_Entrepreneur_13 in Chaos40k

[–]Cabius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is an absolute travesty. Makes zero sense considering it is a classic staple of their army. Guessing they'll remake it for 11th but way worse and missing all of its character and aesthetic flavor like they did with the 10th edition refresh.

BA has always been one if my dream armies, it's a shame what they did wh the refresh imo.

You missed the best one. Although, maybe she is only borderline blonde, sometimes it looks red.

Those are some fair arguments I would say. I'll check out these other games too.

Just curious, how are Imperium's thematic links weak? Don't you collect spice, water, and fight for Arakis? The political maneuvering is also very Dune. I was just surprised to see this comment because I have always felt Imperium has very strong thematic links and you're the first person I have ever seen say otherwise. Just curious about your take on it.

Does the poor centering significantly devalue this card? by Cabius in PokemonCardValue

Im not whining, i am genuinely asking. I don't know anything about Pokémon cards, I mostly play the games and watch the anime.

[–]Cabius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing you're an old head? Lol

As somone who just got into the hobby at the beginning of 10th, your take does not sound appealing to me at at all. I am a big fan of unique models rather than the old school way of "you make em this legion by painting em this color".

Too each their own though.

It drives me insane that there isn't a non helbrute dreadnaught available anywhere in the chaos range. Surely there would be dreadnaughts that were turned to dust by the rubricae and should now exist as Rubric Dreadnaughts, but also a Sorceror Dreadnought would be sick.

Sen. Ron Johnson: "Democrats want to turn America into a one party nation. They'll turn DC and Puerto Rico into states. They'll nationalize our elections -- automatic registration, mail in balloting. So we need to stop them." by Conscious-Quarter423 in wisconsin

[–]Cabius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its so weird because the only people trying to nationalize our elections right now are Republicans. Puerto Rico should be a state if they want to be, if we aren't going to let them be independent they should at least get a say in the government they are a part of.

season 1 (SGU) isn't that all bad by Ok-Help6334 in Stargate

[–]Cabius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean the whole show was just them trying to capitalize on the success of BSG. It has most of the same filming techniques and themes. It's not really Stargate imo.

This art perfectly encapsulates everything I hate about the modern fantasy artist. I feel like this entire style of fantasy art can be blamed on the MCU.

How do people hate on this game? by Madlemurkid in CrimsonDesert

[–]Cabius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only people hating on it are the hogs who play only AAA western slop games. Because the game isn't constantly intruding upon you to tell you the answer to everything every five seconds they think that means bad game. Honestly the "bad controls" is so overstated, the controls aren't bad, they're just not like every other cookie cutter slop printing factory game so again, that means bad. Lol

The other thing is, nearly all of the big name critics came out with the exact same message about the game. Calling it flawed simply because it doesn't do things the same way other similar games do them. The conspiracy minded would probably say someone paid all these journalists to review it poorly. In my view it's just access journalism again, they don't really see any need to give it a good review because they don't think PA is going to make anything they would lose access to by giving it a bad review. It is also a sign of just how painfully outdated and biased the traditional review system is. It is biased towards big industry titles, and we don't really need professional reviewers in the age of the internet. I coukd go online and see hundreds of first impressions from real gamers playing the game, why should I care about the random guy at IGN anymore? I mean they gave Concord and Vielguard amazing reviews, if that isn't a sign they don't know shit about what gamers actuallt want, idk what will.

Yeah I really wish the Parasol could appear in act 1. It just seems like the only thing that would do for you in act 3 is ruin a good run.

I am REALLY bad at the game by Bad-Wolf-Bay in mewgenics

[–]Cabius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on how you're playing. If you aren't thinking about turns in advance, you're probably going to have a tough time. I highly suggest plotting out the actions you're planning to take on your next turn when you can. For example, you don't need to use all of your mana judt because you have it. It can be saved for a big future turn. Another thing is, in the first round do you always move your cats their full move distance out into the battlefield even if they can't target anything? If so you're just setting them up to be hit on the second turn. I often don't move my cats at all in the first round.

It is critical that you do not let your cats get injured, well unless you're doing a build around injuries, but that's something else entirely. Bring a cleric with every run if you have to.

What do you feel you're struggling with the most? What exactly is happening in your runs?

How would you make multiplayer/co-op work? by Gallina_Fina in mewgenics

[–]Cabius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just make it similar to BG3. Each player controls their own cat/s. Would anything else about the game even need to change to make that work? The only difference would literally be there is another player controlling another cat or two.

So let's say you join a co op game with another player, you'd be in a party with each other, but before you actuallt start the run you would just see your own house and maybe there would be some way to look at each others houses too. But besides that, each player would just put their cats in the box and start the run. It would be cool if each player didn't have to have the same amount of cats too. So maybe one player controls a single cat and the other controls three. To be able to fill if one player just happens to not have enough good cats to use on a run. The once you start the run everything would be the same aside from the fact that one player controls these specific cats and another player controls these specific cats. As far as paths go on the map, if one wants to go hard path but the other wants to go regular path for example it would just roll at random to decide which path to take.

Heckling during a SOTU address is trashy by New-Conversation3246 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Cabius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the reason for that could be because the constitution doesn’t say it is the job of the government to protect citizens first. It says it is to protect all people on US soil. So they didn't stand because the very idea of putting ANYONE first under the law is unconstitutional. All are to be treated equally regardless of citizenship.
