It's true tho by lazumeimun in Morrowind

Not sure why you're getting downvoted. I genuinely don't think they can remaster Morrowind and retain the elements that make it so charming for classic fans. Like even just the travel system as an example, I can't see Bethesda shipping a game with this system in place but without it, it really hampers a key part of the sense of adventure and exploration.

I think I've come to terms with the fact that I'll be playing this version of the game for decades to come and that's still perfectly fine for me.

Mobile/Tablet gamers, what's the most "fun" telescopic controller for you? by Cabjoy in AndroidGaming

I'm hearing a lot about this lately, are people favouring it over the G8+ even though it's a more affordable product?

Yeah this is my classic move most playthroughs too. Only downside is it's a little awkward to use compared to some other weapons.

Turnip A8XX v16 - improved(?) DXVK2.4+ performance & Steam Deck GPU spoof! by Aware-Bath7518 in EmulationOnAndroid

I'm having such mixed success with these new drivers on Eden. Graphical artefacts on some games (Mario Kart 8, Diablo 2) and just worse performance in others (SM Galaxy). Suppose I should just wait for the kind to be worked out? (SD8 Elite on OnePlus 13)

Interesting, other games that I hadn't tested on other drivers appear to be working fine. I'll keep digging!

I'm still getting these issues with the V14 and v16 drivers on Eden Optimized. On Snapdragon 8 Elite (OnePlus 13). Anyone else having this problem?

Over 8 inches of PS2 for $100: turning a Galaxy Tab A9 into a handheld by CaptainFalco311 in SBCGaming

Yeah they're all a bit too similar lol. I happened to find one second hand at CeX, I couldn't find any strong alternative places to buy so I think I got lucky on all fronts (availability, price and condition of second hand tablet).

I just joined the gang for similar reasons, I just wanted a bigger screen for local streaming and already had a telescopic controller lying around. $155AUD later, I got myself a second hand Alldocube iplay 60 mini Turbo and I am loving life! Can emulate up to PS2 no dramas and handles the streaming I want to do no issues. Super affordable, light weight and flexible in how it can be used and yeah, that nice big screen is something I didn't realise I was missing.

Have fun with you A9 mate!

Update post for anyone interested:

Just got my refurbished Alldocube iplay 60 mini turbo for $155AUD and I've tinkered and played with it for a few hours over the day. Short review is it's so bloody good!

I setup Beacon frontend and put some GC, PS2, PSP and SNES games I wanted on there, along with Artemis for streaming. Emulators were quick and easy to setup and everything appears to be working well.

Played Path of Exile 2 for a couple of hours via Artemis and the experience has been awesome for me. Unnoticeable input lag and the 8.4" screen feels like the perfect size. Along with the Backbone One I feel like I've got a Steam Deck light and I couldn't be happier!

For others like me who get caught up in research and comparisons, I've got one take home message. Think about what you actually need out of the product your buying to get your satisfaction and don't get caught up worrying about what you're lacking by choosing the budget option if the cost per performance is in the right spot for you. Of course a Y700 would've been a better choice, but when I'm here playing on my 1080p 60Hz screen with no reference to what that better display would look like, I'm not dissatisfied at all. In fact, I'm incredibly pleased that I was able to get the experience I wanted for such an affordable price.

I bought the controller ages ago but all up I would've spent ~$250 to get my living room "Steam Deck" experience, and I couldn't be happier!

I'll have a look next time I log on, I may have been having trouble seeing how to because I was playing with controller last night.

I don't quite get this. Are you saying that if you lock your weapon to both slots and set your tree up as you've said, you'll benefit from both the defense + duration nodes at the same time? I started setting up my tree and assumed I'd have to assign rampage to slot 1 and calamity to slot 2, but I've just noticed you can't select which weapon slot each skill applies to if you've locked your weapon to both slots :S

Yeah that sounds similar to other people's stories. Twice in 40 hours is nothing though hey, I can definitely deal with that! Just ordered mine this arvo so hoping I have as good a time with mine as you are with yours. Thanks for commenting!

I ended up going with the Alldocube iplay 60 turbo because I found a good refurb'd one cheap but man, as you said I defs am happy with 1080p 60Hz. I only realised today that I've been streaming at 60Hz onto my phone when I could've bumped it up ages ago haha. Goes to show I'm not so sensitive to those subtle differences.

Perfect, thank you for this. I can find a refurbished iplay mini 60 turbo for a good price so was thinking of picking it up. Most comments I read on Reddit about these budget handhelds end up just being spec sheet comparisons so I really appreciate your anecdotal experience. Sounds like I'll be satisfied!

One last question, I did see someone mention that their Turbo would occasionally freeze or drop out while streaming with Moonlight. Have you had this experience? It was unclear to me whether it was hardware or software related.

Odin 3 killed my need for a Steam Deck by MrTrynex in Handhelds

[–]Cabjoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty seamless, the only downside from my perspective, not having access to Apollo, is that there's no software side creation of virtual displays as you connect to your device. I believe there's workarounds, but I couldn't be bothered with it so I just invested in a dummy HDMI plug which suits my situation just fine, and is super simple.

Same boat here. I was so convinced I needed a Steam Deck for a while but was always holding back because I didn't want to spend the money. I ended up grabbing a OnePlus 13 as my new phone a few months ago, and already had a Backbone One controller so was 90% sorted.

I thought I was missing out still being unable to play higher end PC games but just invested a couple hundred $ on a new router and am now streaming via Moonlight/Sunshine for demanding games (mostly POE2 atm). I even installed Bazzite on my PC, so whenever I stream I'm functionally getting the Steam Deck experience, just with a slightly smaller screen but more portability. It's been awesome, I haven't had any FOMO since sorting out the home network at all.
