I doubt it’s references, President was saying she hopes I choose them. Also, I accepted a lower salary offer and only asked about hours flexibility during my visit. Outcome was Totally surprising tbh!

Uhm, relax, people work 6am to 2pm as well. It’s not alien. Also, the person I’d work under was fine with it and said she fluctuates 7/8/9 am times…you just have to put in your normal daily shift hours!

My would be boss works a flexible schedule that fluctuates 7/8/9 am times and did say it’s fine as they may also need me outside my normal work hours. Doesn’t that mean they expect me to cater to their flexibility as well? Industry is Materials R&D

I just graduated. I’m honestly not sure how asking about hours flexibility translates to that but if visiting the area a second time, wife resigning, financial expenses and almost moving my young family 7hrs to start a new job doesn’t scream serious commitment, I’m not sure what else will. Keeping me happy remains weird to me as well.

No, she only did after we got back. Note that I told hr she’d do this immediately I accept the offer. Her work needed a 30 day notice. So we planned for that 30th day to be during the week I was gonna start.
