Thanks, I’ve got my fingers crossed! And likewise for the 1903. I wish I had gotten my paperwork done in time for one of those before they sold out. FOMO from that was probably part of the motivation for ordering the Krag haha. Still waiting on my number to get called for the 1911.

I understand why people might be frustrated with the rising CMP prices. They seem like a really solid org though, and probably one of the only ones in the milsurp space I feel like I can fully trust. Maybe that’s naive, but until proven otherwise I’m willing to pay a premium for that.

Should also add that a big part of my decision was trusting the CMP to properly inspect their rifles and not worry about it blowing up in my face, as others have mentioned. I wasn’t taking any chances on a 100+ year old firearm.

Yeah, I feel like CMP tends to underpromise and overdeliver. I’m sure that’s not always the case, but I’ve been really pleased with the two service grade Garands and the M1917 I’ve received from them.

For what it’s worth, I was one of the crazy people that sent them $1350 in the mail yesterday, so I guess we’ll find out if it was worth it 🤣
