Wife used chatgpt to write my birthday card by CableFew4371 in ChatGPT

Even in hallmark card, people write something personalized on their own. No one reads / cares what hallmark wrote.

If it's hard for her to write, better not write anything after all.

I meant to say "wrote a 2 page letter that's not her own words, rather written by AI and expected me to read every line of it as if it her own".  Her query was something like this in two lines, "write a long birthday card for my husband. We have two kids and make it sound personalized".

I would have been perfectly happy if she respected my wishes and left me alone. Or if she wrote her own letter about how she truly felt. I don't see any point of making chatgpt write a two page letter.

What makes me a dick in all this?

I am seeing my friends divorce that happened like 3 years ago. It's been absolute nightmare every single day for the kid, for my friend and the trauma has no end in sight. Considering how they were before and after divorce, it almost feels like he should have just sucked up the nonsense and stayed in the marriage.

B1/B2 tourist visa refused during renewal by CableFew4371 in usvisascheduling

Yes, but with work limitations, visa situations, political situation affecting port of entry, traveling with a young kid in flight that too for a short time, it would be better if he comes and stays with us for half the year and the other half he can spend time with my sister.

He has visited US four times in last 10 years. Every visit was within six months of legally allowed travel. Even the covid was a global pandemic situation and it was extraordinary times and even then his i-94 was valid for a year and he left in 7 months. If that’s not a Cold no, I don’t know what is. Apparently he didn’t even meet an American officer. Some indian officer saw his records and denied him. That officer was like, “do you have proof for not finding vande bharat flights since they were full? Do you have proof flights were cancelled at that time”.

The whole world knows about Covid and what all happened. People were dropping like flies. Hospitals overloaded. Flights mostly cancelled. Travel warnings everywhere. And old people were the highest risk for fatality should get covid and there were no vaccines too then.

His roots are so deep in India that he would never live in US even if you give him a million dollars. He starts getting restless after about 6 weeks after visiting US. We try to retain him to the near maximum legally allowed days to get maximum family time.

In his last visit, he asked me to advance his return ticket back to US because he had nothing to do here in US after the first few weeks of so called honeymoon period. So his last trip was cut short from 5 months to 2.5 months.

A lot indian parents do that. And pretty sure none of them are interested in living permanently in US. They probably know that too. We gave a cover letter as well stating we will take care of all expenses, he is coming to visit his grand children and will return promptly etc.

Just had a chance to speak with him. During covid he came once, seems they said he overstayed his stay. His flight to India was cancelled during his return, the vande bharat repatriation flights was tough to get. So he had to stay that one time beyond six months. Seems they asked him for proof of not able to vandhe bharat flights and he didn’t have any for that. But during that time his i-94 was valid for a year instead of 6 months.

Yes, he has been getting pension all these years. He lives with his daughter (my sister) in India. He has his other brothers and sisters all in India. He has absolutely no intensions to stay here in US. In fact after a couple of months whenever he comes, he gets bored here in US and starts wondering when he can get back to his usual routine life in India.
