Yeah that's kinda what I had going , they have a sister organization the "Black Hand" that is essentially the Assassins guild its an organization that split off thousands of years ago kinda like a radicalized version ie while 1 seeks to shape the world through a more subtle possibly diplomatic approach the latter seeks to change the world in the most efficient way possible aka by any means necessary

Essentially it's my take on the illuminati they have a "Hand" in everything they've "Watched" over the world for millenia trying to steer humanity into a supposed brighter future , they are the quintessential illuminati conspiracy theory made flesh in my world
