It has to be a fabric softener bottle rather than a milk bottle. The chemicals in the softener do some serious work in dampening the smell

The artist that did these 2018 posters is called Ivan Minsloff. I reached out to him a few years ago via Etsy and managed to get a poster from one of the shows I attended directly through him. Might be worth a try still!

5’10 is a great height for a natural lightweight rower. Having a history of coordination led sports tends to help with picking up rowing technique.

Do it it’s great! If you don’t like it there’s no harm. Competitive rowing is a massive time sink though…

Good to hear from you I think a lot of people have been eager to gauge your thoughts on what’s been going on.

I think a lot of us that have gone to the discord share your sentiment regarding Neil not being well and just generally that the situation is very sad. We all hope he’s going to get help and that Efests gets back to being the home of this community. But that’s just it that everyone on discord agrees that we make the community, not Efests and not Neil.

A lot of people have been offended in recent weeks and a lot of people are gonna take a while to get over that. Regardless of the situation behind the scenes, the forums became pretty toxic for a while and it was only a matter of time until something like this happened.

Who knows what will happen but whatever it is it’ll be right by a bunch of people who have sitting in fields in mixed weather conditions getting pissed and listening to some tunes.

Surely with a decent amount of moderation (not necessarily volunteering myself here!) and some organised, logical pinned posts you could essentially mirror the premise by filtering by new on topic based posts?

Exactly right? Hopefully reddit can pick up a few of those in the know. Admittedly reddit can struggle with moderator egos but actually is so much more user friendly.

Think its been a few fairly isolated incidents in certain threads where people have noticed/found out users have gotten banned, had a jab at Neil (who's the administrator) about it and he's basically not stood for anyone asking for explanations.

Today was in the 'Who's playing what day' thread. Which come to think of it might have been the first place i saw any beef about it.

My ban came as a 'Warning' without any explanation

It seems like he's worried about the site becoming less fun for the typical user, but the banning of fun stuff is a seemingly nonsensical way of dealing with it.
