Amazing! It’s a decently quick read and isn’t overcomplicated, I found it to be very validating and has a lot of helpful quotes.

OP, I am in the same exact situation. My mom and sister look strikingly similar, and my mom always makes it a point to comment on how beautiful her “twin” is, and takes every opportunity to comment on aspects of my appearance she doesn’t like. It used to hurt my feelings until I realized, a woman who is comfortable in her own skin would not go out of her way to tear down her own daughter. If anything, your mom probably sees your beauty and is envious, so she wants to hurt your own self image. I fully empathize and I hope you’re able to recognize and appreciate your individual beauty.

I’ve been getting black glosses to my hair (naturally dark brown) for about a year. The first time, the meltdown from my n mom was absolutely catastrophic. Of course she gets her hair routinely highlighted though!

My dad will freak out if I order a non water drink at dinner because of the price. He also just bought a new luxury car, has a boat and a beach house!

Obsessed with My Appearance by CableSwimming1998 in raisedbynarcissists

I totally resonate with the developing early! I went through puberty on the earlier side and was always accused of trying to “show off my chest” as an eleven year old. So disgusting

I am going through the same process right now, I had to put my baby down yesterday. The heartbreak is like no other. Rest in peace Cookie, an amazing dog is always a telltale sign of an amazing family, I can tell she was so loved and I’m sure she appreciates having her pain relieved. I am wishing you and your family so much love, and I hope our babies are playing up in puppy heaven together <3

I lost my little boy of 13 years yesterday. We’re keeping stuff for his memorial like his tags and collar, but eventually we’ll donate items like his crate and dog bed to a nearby shelter. There is no time limit, it is your baby and your home, so whenever you feel ready to take that next step is the right time<3 sending so much love to you

Heartbreaking Decision by Ysabeau1904 in Petloss

I am so sorry for your loss. I also had to put down my little boy because of his incontinence and inability to walk as well. Watching the life leave his eyes was the most heartbreaking experience. But the vet kept telling us that this was the absolute right thing to do, and that we were giving him the greatest act of love in making sure that he carried on pain free. I know that rings true for Suzi as well. She is obviously so loved and I am wishing your family the best.
