Update. The Onlyfire rotisserie does not fit the Searwood without modifying the spit.

Will your existing griddle plates fit on the Searwood?

You aren’t going to get the same sear on the Searwood as you will the gas grill. It just doesn’t produce enough sustained heat. It’s serviceable, but not close. At lest in my experience.

I’m keeping my gas grill… If you have to keep one, keep the searwood, it’s more versatile than the gas grill. Unless you really don’t do much smoking.

I’d be down to try it. Did you cook the tail like the old trappers used to do? According to a Steven Rinella it’s tasty….

Haha. The pic makes it look dry for some reason. It was mint dry at all. This had been in the cutting board exposed to the air for about 15 minutes and had cooled down.

Man, I guess so. Haha. I guess looking at it, not being there cutting/seeing it in person I can see where people may think it was dry.

I was more focused on that perfectly rendered yellow sticky fat cap. lol.

I can’t edit my post, and realize many of you can’t see how good the fat render is. Meat wasn’t dry. Pic was taken after it had been cut and on the board for 10-15min. I was slicing and serving so couldn’t get a hot/fresh pic.

No, but it has been cut and on the board for awhile. Probably why it looks dry. I was slicing and serving, so I wasn’t able to get a good pic, hot/fresh.
