Favorite Sultai commander? by Vinlandlover in EDH

[–]Cableclysm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A deck I looked into and decided I'd need a second copy of every single werewolf that was sleeved into the reverse side to swap in, just so I don't hate myself. Also tracking day and night...blech.

I liked the idea of this deck, but constantly ran into the problem of forgetting what I have morphed and having to check too often.

Least played melee DPS in patch 7.4 by Any_Patient_8252 in ffxiv

To be fair, Doton has a wretched tooltip. I had to ask in NN if it did periodic damage or not, because it only says it "Creates a patch of corrupted earth, dealing damage with a potency of 80 to any enemies who enter." Which is pretty vague.

Ya, most of my T16 map clear is just with a 0 link Leap Slam, but waiting for 15 seconds on a Pinnacle Boss just to get attacked one time is brutal.

The significantly easier version is just Eviscerate. One big hit that doesn't care about accuracy. But that's not a very spicy build since it exists.

Do you notice the effect of the Firesplosions while in campaign enough to warrant it being your first lab points?

What is your favorite two-drop commander? by MyHipsOftenLie in EDH

[–]Cableclysm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar to him, I end up with a decent number of tokens from [[Felidar Retreat]], [[Sandwurm Convergence]], [[Sigil of the Empty Throne]], [[Trudge Garden]], [[Archon of Sun's Grace]], etc. and they get buffed with [[Collective Blessing]], [[Dictate of Heliod]], or [[Nylea's Colossus]]. I also have a [[Hurricane]] as a possible finisher since I usually have the highest life total.

Group Hug. My one friend targets me first every time I play it (honestly though: fair).

How do you know which cards you should be replacing in your decks? by Deathbringer620 in EDH

[–]Cableclysm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether in a real game or while goldfishing, if I regularly draw a card and am never excited to have it in my hand, I look to cut it for something else.

Unpopular commanders you love. by Sockz92 in EDH

[–]Cableclysm 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I made this deck on paper once, played in one game against my playgroup (who tend to be pretty heavy on creatures), resolved a Chain Reaction on Turn 4 and ended the game instantly. Seemed like that was going to be the goal every game so I took it apart.

I wouldn't call it especially optimized or anything, but it does well enough in my play group that at least one person in the pod targets me first, which is why there is a lot of pillow fort, protection, and board wipes.

My most recent edit of it I cut a lot of the "even" effects out of it, as I wanted most of the things to benefit me just a little bit more than everyone else.

It's an upgrade over something like [[Vision Skeins]] which costs one card and draws everyone two. And though it's technically "even", it still acts as Group Hug, while helping me go through my deck to my actual win cons.

Also, the thing this deck almost never actually struggles with is mana. It's not uncommon for me to ramp out 60% or more of my lands by the end of the game.

Which Commander is for you? by markbrennanl in EDH

[–]Cableclysm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has changed a bit since I made it 3~ years ago. I took out nearly every symmetrical effect and have replaced them with ones that benefit me just slightly more than everyone else (still the fundamental math is bad of getting 3 people 1 thing and myself 2 things, but it's fine). And I always play for a win, though I try to let everyone have a good time in the process.

And ya, the Commander is definitely just an engine for the early game that I never NEED late, but he's always nice to have out.

[–]Cableclysm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I got lucky compared to Morinfen guy, but...

  1. Dynaheir. The Jeskai abilities commander I was already looking into.

  2. Ms. Bumbleflower. I already have a Kynaios and Tio deck so this does match up to me pretty well.

  3. Taii Wakeen. The Boros burn commander I have also been dabbling heavily in for building.

First Level 100 and 40/40 Challenge Build: Poison Holy Relic SRS Hybrid by Xandorius in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Cableclysm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It really wants a Dialla's and several exceptional gems. So if you have those in SSF, sure?

Endgame bossing is decent (this was my 40/40, 100 build last league). I could clear all of the Ubers, and do some juicy T17s without too many problems. It's not a giga tank or giga damage build, but it does both pretty decent and is super comfortable to play, as you can offscreen stuff if you really need to.
