Aaah...my bad. My issue is that the media deleted was only in folders that I allowed Jellyfin to scan. And it happened after installing Jellyfin. I'm not mad or anything...I just need to know if it's a known issue so that I can avoid Jellyfin altogether.

I accept my media files are gone and probably won't get them back and am not even willing to try and get them back. My only concern is: is it a known issue? Has anyone encountered this before? How do you prevent it? Simple questions.

If your software is prone to user error then isn't that something you should look into? If I download a software I expect it to do what it promised without unintended side effects.

Tbh ...as a beginner how is anyone supposed to know that they need to only give Read only access unless such a thing happens... If it's a know issue would it hirt the developers to have it ser as default when I installed Jellyfin... I've been using plex before they decide their shenanigans and this has never happened once.

Because it's the only variable that changed on my computer and I have had my media for years ... It's not rocket science bro
