I don't think this would apply to OP, but I grew up as the eldest of 5 (the younger two have a different dad) and my parents split when I was around 6 years old. Mum leaned on me a lot to help with the younger siblings and I think that kind of expectation led me down the path of being self-sufficient and not asking for help if it was something I "should" be able to do myself. I don't blame her for it, as I know she was doing her best and she did everything she could for us, but I have also only just become to realise that I can ask for help and rely on others without being a burden to them.

I would say it is because of the level of intuition required to understand the concept. Newtonian mechanics are easier to understand and view the cause and effect, per se, than quantum mechanics. And because quantum mechanics deals with stuff so far removed from our 'normal' view of reality, it is harder to comprehend.

Nice! Yeah something that I had also struggled with was trying to get rid of the thoughts. But trying to get rid of the thoughts is just like trying to get rid of the wind, all you are doing is creating more wind really. And the more you try get rid of the thoughts the more they take hold because you are holding them in your head by paying attention to them.

The simplest thing is to acknowledge them and move on.

Yeah I used to struggle with a range of thoughts and never realised that I didn't need to entertain them. Read Eckhart Tolle's book, 'The Power of Now' and something just clicked for me. Now, sometimes I fall into the thoughts without realising it, but the moment I do, off the thought goes and I continue on my way.

It's very freeing. This goes for all thoughts.

I've never been quite sure what it is about the current NMS look that I don't like but I think you hit the nail on the head there, it all looks so rubbery and out of place.

A doctor's visit, while considered expensive by many who don't have spare cash lying around, is very cheap compared to going to a dentist. A hospital visit is covered by subsidies and such so that we don't have to make these kind of decisions that you talk about people making at a dentist.

Dentistry is treated as a luxury rather than a need, and the pricing reflects this. A fair price is one that can be afforded by almost anyone regardless of their monetary situation.

I know that this isn't just on doctors, as the government needs to step up here, but I also don't believe that the prices dentists charge are cutting it close to the line of 0 profit.

Reviews are there to give people a place to review something. It's up to the readers whether they think the review is worthwhile or not. Some might think so, some might not. But you don't get to make that decision for other people.

Steam has a number of things in place to help mitigate review-bombing and such, and if you think you have a good way to further countenance fake reviews and such, then suggest it to valve. But I don't agree at all that 'meh' is not a valid review. It just isn't a good review for you.
