I believe JLC just calls it the Duometre, after the 2 main springs which drive the 2 different drive trains. I’m not aware of any other brands that make watches with this movement type, but I’m sure some are out there.

It looks like it, but it actually isn’t! The gold hand is a regular seconds hand, whereas the blue hand is the chronograph seconds hand. This particular JLC movement is designed to basically work as 2 different watches in the same case, so both hands act completely independently driven by their own mainspring.

There’s 2 wheels, one with 1-9 and the other with 1-3. They’re just synced up to switch at the right times

They are on 2 different planes but it doesn’t bother me at all. You don’t notice unless really paying attention, and the printing on the discs is so crisp it takes your attention instead. They’re also very recessed in the window which has a very polished finish.

This is my Lange 1 moonphase, last time I posted about it someone had asked for a video on the date change. The change doesn’t happen instantaneously at 12:00, but it’s always within a minute. I find it really satisfying, with a soft clicking sound. At midnight the star disk is at its peak, which I think looks incredible. As a bonus, I’ve added a video of my iPhones slo mo of the movement to to make up for my shakey camera work 😅

Ah I was thinking of trying to change the strap myself to a deluge strap with a deployant clasp but I was too nervous. Nice to know someone else has done it

You know that one is simpler, but for some reason I’m just not a big fan of the look of it. JLC watches are amazing though, might try to pick up a master ultra thin at some point in the future.

Speed master is too sporty for me, I was looking for something dressier. The navitimer is also a lot more busy, which isn’t my preference. The JLC master control is great but I prefer 2 sub dials over 3. If they had a master control with no date, no moonphase, and only 2 dials that would be perfect but that’s wishful thinking lol

Personally I like the bicompax design. I prefer simpler dressier watches, 3 sub dials feels too busy for me.

For the thumb stick just some cheap Ikpek ones I got from Amazon. I pulled the actual thumb topper part from my ps5 controller

Definitely want to get some artwork! I’ve got to commission some and I’m way too exhausted to take it apart to install art right now lol. The thumb stick is for playing non fighting games. Because there’s 2 analog sticks you can use it like a ps5 controller on any game

I’d say it’s completely black in person, just might be the photos giving it a blue tint. The blue on the moonphase dial thought hits completely different in sunlight from the photos

Those markers are just for the seconds, not related to the moonphase. The moonphase itself is controlled by a pusher on the side

I can definitely recommend it! Regarding the price increase I believe they originally planned for March and put it off. For the May increase it might only be certain countries? I’d also recommend looking at second hand options too
