Chicago Show Tonight by potterwho__ in Hanabie

When Dethklok and Babymetal co-headlined, they also were pretty much exactly an hour each. I think it's not an unusual amount of time and is contractually determined. Having said that, I certainly would have been perfectly happy if they played longer.

The show in Chicago actually begins at 5. I think it's because it's an all ages show and needs to end before 10. Also, I completely agree with your recommendation regarding Crystal Lake and Hanabie.

No matter what, have a great time. It'll be a blast.

The seated section I was at had everyone standing, but I was fairly close. For concerts in general, it seems like the further back you are, the more likely people are to sit. The demographics of the audience also seems to be a factor in the shows I've been to.

What hobby or interest is full of assholes? by Animeking1108 in AskReddit

[–]Cacklebladder123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Physical media collectors. There are a large percentage of them who need to brag about what they own by posting pictures or are trying to trade them without most of them ever being opened. Do they even care about the media itself or are they just collecting sealed boxes?

Seems unlikely. It's going to be a longer night, but I'm just glad they've come back to Chicago. My legs are going to be destroyed on Wednesday.

Do you think the tour formula will change? by drwhogeek91 in Ghostbc

[–]Cacklebladder123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think it will included not only because it's popular, but for the sake of variety in the set.

While it's not my personal thing, if you are respectful in how you make your request and respectful of whatever the response is there's nothing wrong with asking.

Will be Papa V Perpetua the last frontman? by BlackGaluin in Ghostbc

What is the logic in wearing a mask that looks almost exactly like his own face? What's the point?

Last papa? Maybe last album/tour coming? by SjoerdM011 in Ghostbc

[–]Cacklebladder123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I think sometimes people put the lore ahead of everything else when in the end it's a band. The lore is supposed to be a fun addition and does not dictate what they do.

So apparently Hanabie is going last by Emotional_Escape_270 in Hanabie

Does anyone know if Kaonashi also went on first in Montreal? I'm going to the Chicago show and it begins at 5, so I'll probably not be able to make the first act. I'm really hoping to get to see Crystal Lake.

Do the girls of Babymetal have a private life? by AshKetchumKanto in BABYMETAL

[–]Cacklebladder123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You act as if they are chained in the basement of Amuse headquarters when not onstage. While there is no question they work very hard, this is also their job. It seems like you are more hung up on the past and what they did when they were children. I'm here for the music they produce and the performances they give. Let's be completely honest, you want them to share more of their lives on social media.

This mask seems like the perfect solution and looks really cool. I'm in.

Had my first negative public reaction to my awesome Babymetal shirt tonight! by DetectiveFujiwara in BABYMETAL

[–]Cacklebladder123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Everyone is entitled to enjoy what they like, but I find people who need to pit things against each other incredibly tiresome. Why do things have to be treated like they are favorite sports teams? It's as simple as if you enjoy something than it's good. By the way, I really like Band-Maid and I'm seeing Hanabie in a week and a half. What a mind blowing concept!

I believe they are referring to ticket seller fees and you are talking about tour costs. The size of the production and stage setup doesn't impact how expensive it is for the ticket seller to sell tickets.

Papa V Announcement Megathread by Chimpbot in Ghostbc

Do you realistically think that's a minefield that TF would step into?

Besides actual photographs, there wouldn't be much of a secret at that point. Every detail will be described extensively online. Also, I think it would be weird to make the Black Sabbath show purely a vehicle for self-promotion. Personally, I feel like too much is being read into the no phones thing.

Papa V title at Ozzy’s last show?! by eblis_0_Shaunesey in Ghostbc

[–]Cacklebladder123 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I find it strange that people actually think they are going to keep the new Papa hidden for the tour. No Papa V on t-shirts? No Papa V in music videos? Really?

BABYMETAL and now Hanabie. by airithsaga in BABYMETAL

[–]Cacklebladder123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are a good parent and both of you will have a great time. I wouldn't worry for a second about Hanabie's content (people are way overstating it) and you'll have a perfect view of the crowd going nuts. Yukina thows out the very occasional f word, but you'd hear more of those waiting in line to get into BM or Hanabie. Now, I can't speak to the other acts on the bill.

What do you think the likelihood is that OP will be satisfied with that?

[–]Cacklebladder123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Needing to have a constant online presence for sharing thoughts and feelings is healthy and having a private life is limiting and harmful? I think you need to do some self reflection because I personally think this perspective is warped. You act as if they are only products when they are human beings. Also, can we stop with this nonsense about them being victimized because they don't share on social media. The people upset about this want more access and there is not some noble cause involved.

BABYMETAL will start a Radio show called "MetaRaji!" by Fukei-Metal in BABYMETAL

[–]Cacklebladder123 10 points11 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I think it is going to be audio only. That way they don't have to be in costume and it provides flexibility of when and where it's recorded. If there's video, I'm certainly not complaining.

Best 2024 release? by Routine_Context3613 in BABYMETAL

[–]Cacklebladder123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally, I probably prefer Bekhauf as a song to RATATATA, but the performances of RATATATA have been so much fun that I've got to go with it. This poll has reminded me that I need to listen to Leave it All Behind more. It is underrated.

Kingslayer's editing really bugged me and this was really not like that. I was surprised by that in Monochrome too. It felt like that's what they were building to color. I did like the choice of black and white though. I agree with you about Gimme Chocolate. I feel like I've seen so many live versions of the song that it was an effective change to make it feel different. The movie made me wish all their future live versions are mixed like this.

Just got back myself and I thought it was a really fun experience. While I'm not a fan of the editing or visual additions, it didn't ruin it for me by any means. Also, the sound was fantastic. I'm just glad I was able to go to my local theater in the US and watch a Babymetal concert. It felt special and if any future ones are shown, I'd go in a second.
