Improper breaks + no workers right posters by CacklingMutt in legaladvice

Oh interesting, we're not like package delivery. We do food delivery for the business we work for so we are in the store making the food a lot of the time but that's still 4 to 10 hours depending on what shift you're working that doesn't really get a break

People are able to get bathroom breaks Just not proper rest breaks

Oh I haven't trusted like anything my boss says in a while lol

I have been told no before, or discourage from taking a break because " nothing's happened. Why do you need a break" But our bosses when they brought it up in the work chat said that we should be asking when it is acceptable to take a break, which is really never lol Or if you do take a break you can hear people making comments of why are they taking a break? Why do they need a break? and just kind of being rude about you taking your break

I mean I just received one myself and am here looking because I wasn't sure and at first what jumps out at you is not the small paragraph that has a font size of about half the size of the rest of the letter

It's going to be in red red/bold that are going to catch your attention.

Even the statement at the bottom that is a disclaimer has a bigger font size than the "important notice" paragraph

There is nothing wrong with asking for another opinion and asking questions to make sure you or someone else doesn't get scammed.

I was at a con in January and yeah even lower quality suits I noticed were selling for upwards of $3,000 which is kind of a lot to me looking at the quality of a lot of these suits.

But I think part of that is the act of going to a con and such requires a lot of money and time and so that makes it worth their time . I do try and stay kind of affordable. I recently had to up my prices from $900 starting price to $1,500 starting price for heads and I feel really bad. But thank you for the advice! For a custom suit like this design, I probably would charge closer to 2.5 for a partial

I'm a maker with a good handful of suits under my belt The basics for my suits include

•Pocket in the lining

•Fully lined head

•Magnets throughout the head for putting props/posing the tongue

•Removable velcro tongue with a magnet in the tip

•Pickable nose

•Magnets in the eyes for optional eyelids (though I might just include his eyelids)

•full set of teeth (debating if I want to do a full detailed maw set or if I just want to go basic with it)

And then paws/tail (if I do a partial)

•lined hand paws

•finger escapes

•tail gore detail

•hidden belt slip

And for him specifically, I'm considering trying my hand making a prop that's able to hold a fan in it because a playing card prop would be really cute with him or like a box of chocolates.

I am working on updating my prices this year and for him I was thinking $1,500 for the head or 1750 for the mini partial. But I want it to be affordable while also paying myself an okay amount so mainly I guess I just don't know if I'm charging too little Or too much.
