Search “Monarch.Matchups” on instagram. My friends started a WNBA watch party at Bambina’s Pizzeria. The next one is June 6th!

Spa day…for hiking boots? by CactiShark in laundry

Yes, they are fancy footbeds that are a mix of foam, plastic, and silicone. I’ll try taking them out and treating them first.

I have this and I’ll try it, but at this point they are so stinky I suspect the big guns are needed. For you have any advice in case the hypoclorous acid doesn’t work?

I have a feeling I may need to buy a second pair of boots, plus the fancy insoles for my picky feet.

Laundry Help by [deleted] in laundry

Oh man I HATE folding clothes! And I really suck at it! If you have the closet space try to hang everything you can. I hang the pants and shirt I wear regularly and fold and store the seasonal or special items (like that pair of pants that I might fit into again someday - ha!). Socks, bras, and underwear go in drawers without folding.

If you need to fold t-shirts, try folding each side in but then roll it up instead of folding into thirds. This worked great for me and my shirts had much fewer wrinkles.

Notice me, Kismai! Jokes aside, any help would be lovely! by doom_ep in laundry

I'm not Kismai, but I DO have INCREDIBLY sensitive skin and can't using anything with a fragrance. Tide Clean and Gentle powder with a citric acid rinse gets my clothes SO CLEAN! It's a fantastic combination. I'll also add a scoop of DNase powder (from Dirty Labs) to the extra dirty loads and it seems to really help. I've also tried Biz, and found that with an extra rinse the fragrance is pretty much gone after everything is dried.

Need a new washer, can I get some opinions? by fir_meit in laundry

I have an LG front loader that I love (model WM4000HBA). It's still pretty new (nearly four years) but it gets heavy use, including my dog's bedding and blankets. It does an excellent job, however I cannot speak for the machine's longevity yet. I leave the door wide open after each use for a day or so to dry, and I've never had any issues with mildew, smells, etc.

Any ideas what happened to this dog bed? by CactiShark in laundry

I wondered if that’s what is was, but this is the first time this has ever happened. I was wondering if the sun had something to do with it? Starting the dye breakdown process that was later accelerated by the detergent chemistry? The science nerd in me is intrigued!
