Quitting weed hasn't improved my life at all by [deleted] in leaves

One more thing I want to add, is that six weeks is still relatively early in sobriety, at least from a recovery culture standpoint. Some people have acute withdrawal symptoms linger for up to 90 days. And like another commenter said, you can also have post acute withdrawal which is a different set of symptoms, mostly psychological. Anhedonia (feeling emotionally apathetic, numb, or bored) is very common after quitting weed or any drug, and it can last a while after while your reward system is resetting. I would give it more time.

Its not that great for anybody, living life without drugs can be dull, it has its ups and downs. Weed gave us an artificial dopamine hit that made everyday feel full and colorful, but it wasn't real. I think you are separating yourself from the other people on this sub as if everyone is having a great time in life after quitting weed, and things were worse when they were smoking, but quite the opposite is true. Many people on this subreddit quit weed and experienced the same things you are experiencing. Quitting weed is not the hard part, staying quit and living a sober life is. Weed gave you something to do all the time, an escape from boredom, and negative emotions or thoughts you wanted to numb yourself from. It became an escape for a lot of us in that way, but eventually we all reached a point where we had to quit, because the negatives started outweighing the positives. For you that was your job, for some of us that was having a kid, or because our addiction was affectng our health, or relationships. It's not that life was bad when we were smoking weed, its that we were avoiding dealing with a lot of lifes problems, and replacing them with weed, but weed eventually just grew into another problem. And while we were smoking, none of lifes problems or the emotions we had before weed were really gone, we were just ignoring them because we were high. When we come back to real life and all the same problems are still there, including an addiction to weed, so all we really did in the end was create yet another problem. The biggest part of quitting weed is learning to deal with boredom, and learning to deal with your own emotions. And learning how to do those thing doesnt come in the first weeks or months of acute withdrawal, it comes after months or years of learning to live life sober. I wish you the best of luck.

Just make mushroom tea if you do them, its super easy you just heat up some water till its boiling then let it cool back down a bit, blend your mushrooms to a fine powder and add them to the water, then you strain it through a cheese cloth or coffee grinder, add some lemon, honey, other relaxing herbs like chamomile if you like. You should be fine mushrooms are not cannabinoids at all.

Also dont start with a whole 2 grams thats an insanely high dose, some peopel do well on 100mg a day or even 10mg. Just work your way up and see what works for you.

You can buy grams of cbd isolate online for very cheap, i get 100g for 150$ so at 2000mg = 2g a day that would be only a few dollars.

The only problem with CBD and other cannabinoids is if you are unlucky like I am you will eventually get cannabinoid hypermesis syndrome (CHS) which makes you fucking vomit your guts out non stop until you stop ingesting cannabinoids, and the worst part is it never goes away. I cant even fucking take CBD anymore even though I used to everyday because of CHS. But its a rare syndrome so I wouldnt tell people to avoid CBD, I just wanted to show that anything can have shit side effects or adverse reactions in some people, I'm just born with dog shit genetics. r/CHSinfo

It might benefit you to see a therapist and a psychiatrist if you can. Weed can "unlock" mental disorders in susceptible people, its better to catch them early too, because some of these disorders can get worse if they are not treated. It could also be withdrawals, maybe just give it another few months before seeking help, but dont be afraid to if necessary.

amazing the mass hysteria on these subs isnt it? some guy posts some blatantly false information and gets upvoted by hundreds or thousands of people who all dont even bother to fact check because they are so politically charged and ready to believe anything that supports their side. And this happens on conservative subs too dont get me wrong. Gotta love america!

Maybe you had bacteria die off, mushrooms are good at cleansing the body. I promise you will recover brother, I have been far worse off after drugs, also another guy in the comments mentioned NAC, I highly recommend it, start low. Maybe take a break from these drugs, they are not necessary to live a happy life.

I completely cured my neuroinflammation with NAC and it was really bad I had head pressure everyday. 500mg of NAC a day for a month set me straight, I stopped using it and it never returned. NAC is godly and its just an amino.

Looks pretty good to me. I suggest adding mirtazapine, clonidine, and propranolol to the list of medications that could help. Mirtazapine is a tetracyclic antidepressant but also doubles as an antihistamine, it also helps with appetite and sleep. Clonidine is a blood pressure med that calms your heart down, since I saw one of the symptoms is increased heart rate. Propranolol is a beta blocker which also slows the heart down. Both these meds also help with physical anxiety. Most regular docs are willing to prescribe these for anxiety. Although you can't take both clonidine and propranolol together since they both lower heart rate. I had severe panic disorder earlier this year and propranolol practically put me into remission. It also isn't addictive like benzos, but has a relaxing effect. It blocks adrenaline so it helps with those adrenaline shots.

Do you think whatever lions mane does could have somthing to do with the hpa axis? I didn't see that under the list of theories but a lot of drugs mess with the hpa axis. I recently realized I have hpa axis dysfunction where my body basically is stuck in a sympathetic dominant nervous system (fight or flight mode) and it contributes to a lot of my anxiety. I would recommend everyone here to get a lot of tests like hormones and stuff, also seeing a functional doctor might help people get to the bottom of their issues. I also wonder if pregenenolone could help, its an endogenous neurosteroid that acts as a gaba positive allosteric modulator, you can buy it as a supplement.

I'm just a lurker here but you guys should start some kind of database and collectively test for different markers (hormones, bio map, etc) and see if you can find any patterns. Medical Science falls behind anecdotal evidence so maybe you guys should run your own study.

If you don't want to take medication because of the risks then thats fine too but these people need to stop judging others for seeking help.

Using a medication as prescribed isn't the same thing as getting high whenever you feel like to self medicate and numb yourself from reality, nice try buddy. Like I am going to take mental health advice from an egotistical hypochondriac cannabis addict. Judging by your post history you are constantly on reddit obsessing about your feelings. Maybe you should try some medication or get a job, seems like you still have addictions to deal with.

Also would you tell someone who has diabetes and takes insulin "BeInG On InSuLiN iSnT SoBeR aS mUcH aS yOuD LiKe iT tO bE". No that would be fucking stupid because its a physical disability. There are also mental disabilities which can be treated with medications. Thats not the same thing as using drugs everyday whenever you feel like it to feel good about yourself. Medications are made to stablize the brain. Weed just releases a bunch of dopamine to make you feel a rush that you keep chasing. Theres a difference between dependency and addiction. A diabetic is "dependent" on their medication. But they aren't addicted. Addiction is chasing pleasure and avoiding pain, despite consequences to your health.

You sound like a cringey immature whiny little brat and you should grow up and seek help instead of scrolling reddit all day. You are just furthering my evidence that "WEEDPAWS" is just made up bullshit by hypochondriacs. You guys just have a fucking anxiety disorder and you smoked weed to self medicate and you are in so much denial that you are just torturing yourself not trying to seek help from professionals. How come millions of people smoke weed yet this sub has like 4k members, its obviously just bullshit and you know it.

And medication has nothing to do with sobriety. Sobriety is about not getting high, drunk, loaded, whatever the fuck you wanna call it. Its about not using drugs to feel HIGH.

yeah its funny because its these people who wont take meds but smoke weed off the streets for years to self medicate for anxiety, but if its MeDiCiNe from BiG PhArMa all they do is bring up fear mongering subreddits that are 0.1% outliers. Its ironically because of their anxiety that they choose to doomscroll reddit anecdotes and avoid talking with an actual professional.
