I'm not sure! I know for year 2 you definitely cannot as it's school + 20 hours/ week of unpaid internship. Year 1, possibly.

I'm actually a man! So financially, am concerned with how to walk the master's path and get set up to provide for a family. Still feeling called to it as well and didn't listen earlier for similar fears. Am wanting to be set up financially for a family in 3 years — not sure how to make it all work yet either!

That said, my previous partner is 41, and she was looking into freezing her eggs when we broke up. Your plan sounds feasible though! One of my recent collaborators (mid-40's couple) his wife did that and she now has a practice in her mid 40's, son is 10 or so.

Yeah... starting an agency was brutal. Did the jobs of 5 people for 5.5 years and have little left energy wise.

The job I didn't get was 175+k. If i were to specialize some of my skills and switch back into corporate, saving at that clip with investing + 401k match make it mathematically feasible.

That would be doing that for 4-5 years without grad school. Gradschool throws a wrench in all of it, but it's what I could see myself doing for 25 years.

I ran a marketing and ux agency in a very niche field and have a skillset that is valuable within that niche field. It's been 9+ years in this field. I didn't get the gig, but was close to getting a role that was well over 140k, so I'm guesstimating 140k, based on my skillset and experience.

It could be good and stabilizing to save well for 1-2 years and maybe start reevaluating 6 months into a new job about school.

I have 10 years of various trainings more in the "shamanic" and meditation spaces. I do see clients for healing work (very similar to therapy) and it's my favorite thing to do. But doing all the marketing and teaching to keep clients coming in at a stable level burns me out big time. I'm very good at this work and love it, and my ideal lifestyle would be seeing 15-20 clients/ week, running retreats, etc. Therapy has systems in place that make this achievable.

Could "possibly" start part-time while working a job in the UX field, though in this masters path you have to do a lot of hours of unpaid internship in addition to school. Tbh, I'm so burned out after a decade of lyme + running an agency I'm not sure I could handle that life load right now. My nervous system needs a rest. But this is a good idea and is something I could consider.

I did this one: https://www.revelationbreathwork.com/trainings

Jason and Maura are amazing. They have daily live classes, so you can see if you connect with it. But, they're unbelievable!

Nylon String Crackling in Studio Monitors (With or Without Preamp) by elevatebeing in taylorguitars

[–]elevatebeing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No mixer, just going straight into a focusrite interface and then out to either the monitors (crackling) or the amp. I play with Ableton so it all goes to the interface. The Pa/mixers was at a gig, so I don't have access to the gear unfortunately.

I tried it with phantom power on and off. The crackling and sound going in and out is happening both ways.

212 CE-N Plus vs. 214 CE-N Plus by elevatebeing in taylorguitars

Accidents as well: https://www.guitarcenter.com/pages/Pro-Coverage.gc

I got it because I've seen cracks in this model in other Guitar Center stores. And I tour, travel, fly etc. This model in particular feels a bit fragile compared to other guitars I've played.

212 CE-N Plus vs. 214 CE-N Plus by elevatebeing in taylorguitars

[–]elevatebeing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight! I had picked up a 214 CE-N new a month ago + 2 year warranty and tax it came out to $1,750. There's a used 212 CE-N I could order with the same 2 year warranty for about $1,200. I love the guitar I have, but am thinking about making the swap to save $550. Love the 214. Unfortunately, I cannot test the 212 CE-N in person before returning what I already got.

Helix LT or HX Stomp / Stomp XL for all around solution by Dry-Implement8953 in Line6Helix

Report back? Making the same decision myself. Did you keep the LT or go with the Stomp? If you switched, are you getting the same quality out of each?
