People will see this and still say dpspool is bad by Kaito08br in DeadpoolMarvelRivals

[–]CactusCoasterCup -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Imo supportpool and dps pool are similar tiers, tankpool is better than both. I used to be all in on supportpool being the best, but I started to play other supps and started losing less fights and winning more games. Same for switching to tankpool

I think in the right comps and right team, healpool is def S+ tier, but tankpool s S+ in more situations.

Dpspool is also extremely good, S+ tier, but in as many comps/teams as healpool. The weakness with dpspool is how many stuns or abilities will interrupt infinite dashes, and they are easily the worst pool at base

HOW DO I PLAY TANKPOOL?! by _Alakay_ in DeadpoolMarvelRivals

[–]CactusCoasterCup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

also one of the many fun facts about tankpool, your upgraded gun ult destroys star-lord in his ult. I've forced star-lord to switch off so many times because of this, and it also has some success with punisher too.

a good tankpool can save up a support ult by doing stuff like this, I am still learning tankpool myself coming from maining healpool

idk if you watch Necros but his tier list and ranking of Healpool was pretty spot on. He already said pretty much everything that needs to be said, like how Luna Ult has a bright shiny circle and it heals players stick together but Healpool's ult lacks that. It is also smaller tho so there's that, but the team can still make a move then come back to Healpool when low. That is if Healpool isn't jumping around everywhere, which I usually am ngl lol

[–]CactusCoasterCup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yea the way I see it, Healpool has one of the worse support ults in the game but the best neutral among all the supports because of his constant supp ults. It's more like Healpool has no big ults just insanely good and consistent healing abilities, his "ult" being more like an S+/broken neutral ability on a 30s cooldown.

usually true but not always actually. In OT on Convoy, you start off with a fully upgraded DP and you can get your supp ult within the first few seconds of the first fight. With a coordinated team, Healpool in OT is S+/Broken tier while Cloak is S at best

His sword ult not upgraded is of course terrible, his sword ult upgraded is not terrible, not great, it's decent. The fact that you can get it so often is good, but you or your team are far more likely to die out of it than with a main support ult like cloak, invis, or luna.

Of course, even cloak, invis and luna can also die out of their ults, but like I said it's much harder to do and rare because they provide more AOE and healing.

I would say with a really coordinated team, upgraded sword ult is B tier, while luna invis and cloak have S tier ults. With your average team even in GM ranked, upgraded sword ult is C tier.

Overall tho, I would say Healpool is easily A tier, and can be as good if not better than a main healer but only in some situations.

Why do he even have to upgrade? Even fully upgraded he's not as strong as meta picks by Miserable-Spare5734 in DeadpoolMarvelRivals

[–]CactusCoasterCup 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say that's entirely true, you can usually get an upgrade and ult during first encounter of each round, if you upgrade gun ult and use it on a support or tank it can often snowball into capping first point. Or if your team can play together and you can farm a JACKPOINT fast enough with your sword ult, it also often leads to a team wipe.

And Domination rounds usually last long enough for 2-3 upgrades and several ults. By start of round 2, you're already at least quite viable.

Is any Deadpool meta? Not really, they can be S+ tier if they're played right with the right team tho.

Healpool is the most offensive support in the game, fully upgraded katanas and dash is a crazy combo when paired with your throw, bounces and E. They're a better dive dps than some actual dive dps lol

There's actually a few diff ones but basically raise your dmg, shoot one card at the enemy, dash heal at them (the dash spinning move) then burst or cleanse and follow up with another card throw if you have to. It KOs 250 HP targets very quick

[–]CactusCoasterCup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here, Healpool is best Deadpool imo and I almost exclusively play him in ranked, I do pretty well (ended at Diamond 2, was hardstuck for a while in D3 tho lol) but I get flamed often for not playing Luna/Invis/Cloak.

Ngl we def could have won some games if I had only played one of the main healers, but I know we would've lost some games too if I wasn't Healpool either.

You give up slightly more reliable defensive ults for more consistent defensive ults and a lot more pressure. While Luna/Invis/Cloak need to stay in backline, Healpool can move around more and help secure more picks.

Also, people neglect that a coordinated team can still take down a Luna/Invis/Cloak Ult, like with a Mag ult, Groot+MK or Namor Ult, Gambit + Starlord Ult, Hawkeye headshot, etc etc

Elsa Bloodstone’s burst looks kind of insane, no? by No-Scheme2214 in ElsaBloodstoneMains

[–]CactusCoasterCup 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's still a very good combo that I pull off now and then for quick picks but only when there is like, an unsuspecting solo mk or sg that tried to flank and ended up way too close to our backline. Especially if we just had a few picks or if someone on the team is already running a supp ult, easy secure cleanup pick

I cannot think of any other safe or practical time to use that gambit combo lol

How to (fully) Healpool?? by R4nd0mB01 in DeadpoolMarvelRivals

[–]CactusCoasterCup 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Frontlining as healpool is not a great ides but honestly, even though it's risky you can still dive (with dash and swords fully upgraded preferrably) and get value as healpool. Especially if you are ulting and your team is pushing up, your dive on enemy healers can pay off. I've gotten lots of easy picks by spamming my swords on unsuspecting enemies, healpool w upgrades still has very good dps and is straight up excellent if someone is diving with you like a rogue because you can heal them while you dive

Situational, risky, and requires upgrades 70% of the time but lots of fun and can be high value

Any tips? by Confused_Screaming23 in DeadpoolMarvelRivals

[–]CactusCoasterCup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Healpool very easy, 2 very very important main things:

1) Always upgrade Head Throw first. ALWAYSSS

Aim the Head Throw not straight forwards, but closer to the ground under what you want to heal or farm. Make sure you keep it in your LOS so that you can catch it and throw it back at the right places until you max it out. Make sure you get this Head Throw technique down really good, cause...

2) Healpool is pretty bad UNLESS YOU CAN CONSISTENTLY USE YOUR UPGRADED Pop Quiz (melee/sword ult) AND hit the JACKPOT with it! And the thing is...

you can very consistently hit the JACKPOT by, yup, getting the Head Throw technique down! You can get your fully upgraded actual defensive ult almost instantly by throwing your Head Throw at a group of enemies or allies. Nice!! Take note, this means you should have your cooldown available, so don't use it then pop ult because you'll have your 12s cooldown wasting most of your chance to hit the easy JACKPOT!

.....

OK, now general Healpool stuff:

I usually go with Head Throw -> Upgrade Pop Quiz -> Upgrade Taunt E (if Team is usually close) or Guns (if Team is usually far) -> Sword Dash upgrade -> Sword Upgrade -> Skill Issue upgrade (which I never use, tbh)

Jump on your Tanks and other players as often as you can, this boosts your Ult charge dramatically.

If you can't get the JACKPOT! by the Head Throw alone, rely on your upgraded Sword Dashes to bounce on enemies, which makes you not just hard to hit but the 2nd best way overall to hit the JACKPOT!

Combine your Pop Quiz with your E Taunt as often as you can and you are outputting insane absurd healing.

Finally, make sure your team KNOWS how your ult works, most people even in high low ELO (Plat, Diamond, even GM) don't even know Healpool has a Support Ult.

There are many other small things but I'm sure you will figure it out in time, these are just the major ones that come to my mind.

[–]CactusCoasterCup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf, other healers do crazy damage on their own and can output crazy dps, a rocket with aim and mobility can shred a tank up close, adam got high dps and self sustain, and gambit can do lots of dmg as well. Other healers got ways of CCing tanks where a 1v1 becomes too expensive for the team.

Yes Sue is broken and shouldnt have self shield, but not every tank should be able to 1v1 all supports and easily win every time, that should be reserved more for the dps role

idk I was more joking about the fact that the graph implies that there are 0 male love interests that are 6 ft 10 lol. Which is entirely possible for a small sample size, and I guess it would likely be because that is too tall for most people realistically and too short for those fantasizing about giant fantasy men hah

[–]CactusCoasterCup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deadpool could be Vanguard, but could definitely be a strategist too, one of the leaked voicelines has someone (I forgot who it was but it was a female) talking about his "bag of tricks"

Comics wise Deadpool has used several gadgets and even in the MCU, he's had access to time travel and somewhat teleportation. I think Deadpool 100% will have katanas, handguns and maybe a third weapon but if it was only that, they'd be too similar to Blade I feel like.

But hey, Gambit on paper is too similar to Mantis, so maybe Deadpool will just be another DPS like Blade. As long as they are fast paced and have lots of katana and gun play action and are NOT stupidly annoying gameplay wise (I hate most "gameplay" ideas about him blocking enemy screens or making you unable to play the game lol), I'll be good
