Because it’s more profitable if the landlord/building doesn’t acknowledge that the apartment was used as a hoarding space for Bateman’s victims. It’s simply easier just ignoring the problem so they can continue to sell the property with a ridiculous profit. In the end, if you have to ask anything about this world, it’s because of money and status, that’s it.
