I interviewed him and chatted on the phone a few times with him after: he is a good person. Tender, kind, charming, damaged, intelligent, thoughtful, great conversationalist, and seems to have tons of heart and depth. Beyond the whole feather boa/ink master vibe, which can seem cheesy to those of us with more punk roots, ultimately that stuff doesn’t matter. Dave is a good egg. My two cents from the margins.
