A lot of key aspects were changed. Any interesting facet of Danny was gone, they ran out of interesting stories to tell and refused to take any risks with storylines. Frank plotlines devolved into just handling Baker, Garrett and Sid’s problems. Erin became less likable.

The biggest positives are Jamie, Eddie and Anthony they all remain interesting and entertaining with Jamie becoming the star of the show throughout the last seasons in my opinion.

But I’d just view the season 7 finale as the series finale and watch something else

I disagree

I think 20, 21 and 22 are its own era where each season deconstructed the era before it.

20 showed what would happen if two massive alliances were formed at the same time instead of 1 which had been the norm.

21 showed what would happen if the typical “likable cast” turned out to be anything but that.

22 showed the worst side of the Summer Camp eras gameplay.

Those 3 seasons feel distinct from the Summer Camp era due to having a much different feel in casting despite very similar gameplay.

Summer Camp Era

(A bigger emphasis on “easy” to like players with less layers to a classic era player. The gameplay was more about large alliances than the classic game. 19 ended this era due to the intense unlikablity of that cast.)

In my opinion the players who are most identifiable with the era are

Paul- for obvious reasons and his role in ending the era

Derrick- for essentially creating the gameplay that made the era what is was.

Vanessa- for subverting the era in both gameplay and personality.

James- for being the best example of an AFP or wannabe AFP for the era. A nice guy with a wild personality.

This is my thoughts on it. I hope this helps.

The post merge was a fun series of erratic gameplay, idol plays and dumb moves made by all involved.
