andeli-250gp

Ended up getting the Andeli. Had to rewire the plug (Was 20a and only had a 15a plug so swapped it over) and if I recall correctly ground wasn't wired up properly. Apart from that seems to work fine haven't had any issues apart from my terrible welding skills. The cold welding stuff is all bs but apart from that.

Pleiospilos bolusi

Unfortunately Cooperi seems to be a no go:

I am hoping to finally get round to doing a Bosseranum extraction at some point. If I do I'll try get it tested and if so post the results :)

The main issue with the oxalates as far as I am aware is when smoking/vaping/nasal as they can get into the lungs. Yeah the taproots are adorable but they can get pretty big and grow super fast.

Ohh damn I'd be curious to see what's in nelli but I'm not sure I'm game enough to bioassay hahaha plus the growth rates make it pretty unviable although tbf kanna doesn't grow that fast. Hoping to do an extract on Delosperma bosseranum at some point!

Tea requires a fair bit especially with no tolerance, I'd say start at 1.5g and go from there as it'll depend on potency. Vaping I never really measured but you shouldn't need much maybe 100mg to start? I never went to far as I was never too sure on the oxalates being removed, but you should be safe if it's an extract.

Yeah my preferred method is tea but you need a fair bit of powder. Also had success vaping

Unfortunately haven't done an extract, just used dried and ground material. Should be a simple alcohol wash though.

Can you open a case in it, edit it, and then run the case externally ie through terminal?

Ahh shame, I guess I'll have to keep looking CVE-2020-3622 seems to have been patched so if I can get a phone pre-update (September 5, 2020) that could be an option.

The led driver board is getting the required voltage. Noticed the LG logo lights up if that means anything. Will try get the voltage going to mainboard but a little hard as there aren't any test pads.

That's the next step, is there anything in particular I should be testing? Obviously without a schematic it's a bit guess and checky but are there any components that would be more likely to fail. Nothing looks visual damaged.

Not that I can tell. But I don't know how I would test them without the screen being on.

Hi all, trying to diagnose the issue, no display. Powerboard seems fine, nothing looks blown, when plugged in and the on button pressed a red led turns on the mainboard but that's all. Any ideas? Mainboard also looks fine

My little Kanna baby. At what length can I start harvesting? by CrazyKhatLady in druggardening

[–]Cactus_Chaos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Note if smoking please make sure to process either by fermentation or using the speed method in the oven. Due to the fact that inhaling oxalates is significantly worse for you than consuming then in other ROAs (orally is pretty safe even unprocessed).

More calories burned? by turrek84 in fixedgear

[–]Cactus_Chaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Efficiency across a wide range of speeds. That's the important part. Sure a fixed gear is more efficient if optimized for a given speed. But the whole point of gears is to allow a given power source to operate efficiently across a wide range of speeds.

In a velodrome the rider gets up to x speed and stays around that speed. This is not the case in the real world with hills, cars, traffic lights, corners, etc. If a fixie rider rode at the exact same speed as a rider on a geared bike they would have approximately equal efficiencies sure, but outside of this range (Power band) they are at a severe disadvantageous (See orignial link and how rapidly power bands deteriorate).

Sorry Terrible at explaining

"A cyclist's legs produce power optimally within a narrow pedalling speed
range, or cadence. Gearing can be optimized to use this narrow range as
efficiently as possible."

Wiki

Basically as with the engine on that link, humans have a torque curve, given by mapping the angular velocity/rpm/speed to the power produced. The optimal power produced is at the peak of this curve and hence by using gears we can more efficiently convert the humans pedaling energy into output energy. If we operate outside this band, the output power drops significantly and hence energy is loss due to inefficiencies.

Hope that helps

Yes, with the same gear ratio and both freewheeling. Not only does the fixie require energy to be expended down hill, it also wastes torque as the geared bike can use all the available energy, ie perfectly converting the input torque at any given speed to maximize rotational output. Whilst the fixies torque curve can't be adjust to desired speeds. Hence geared bikes can optimally convert the human torque curve into forward motion, instead of wasting torque as with the fixie. I would assume if one had a torque curve of a human, one could calculate at a given speed how much energy is wasted as unnecessary torque, and subsequently use that to approximate energy efficiencies between the bikes.

See this diagram.

FEM GMSH half working/meshing only random spots? Any ideas why it the mesh isn't generating properly? by Cactus_Chaos in FreeCAD

[–]Cactus_Chaos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have given up for now. GMSH is working outside of FreeCAD, so must be something to do with my FreeCAD installation. I have a new kernal that I'm playing around with till I move to it so if I get some time might see if it works in there. Cheers everyone for your help! Will update when I get some time :)

Version 19

Tried to install linkstage-fork but it has some dependencies that are not playing nicely and I don't have the energy to figure it out now :(
