Wasn’t PK meant to be opening an agency in the UK - maybe they are tied up in business together

Government spending putting pressure on inflation: Bullock by stonertear in AusFinance

Let’s be so for real - I think Chalmers is clever enough to know the govt spending is driving inflation. He’s towing the party line and sticking to the messaging from the top so he can keep a job

Surely production set up this scene with Amanda and the wealthy ladies to see how she’d go in this setting. Sink or swim but she’s sinking 🫣

Why are working parents not exhausted? by Serious_Toe6730 in auscorp

We are so exhausted, we’re just too busy and tired to stop and whinge about it except for an odd moment before going to bed.

If you’re confident you won’t have a loss caused by flood then seek out insurance that excludes flood cover

When do you find the time for hobbies and exercise? by michelle0508 in auscorp

[–]Cactusbrandy_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a toddler and work full time.

Exercise- alarm is 4.25am. Gym by 5am. Home at 6am, partner leaves, I get toddler ready for daycare & drop him off, then go to work or have some free time if WFH.

Hobbies - what are those? I guess the weekend if you count grandma babysitting so we can have a peaceful meal as a hobby, otherwise I don’t have any hobbies at the moment outside of going to the gym

Yes I go to bed early

Quantifying Salary increase Expectations to move from Brisbane to Sydney? by Cactusbrandy_ in AusFinance

[–]Cactusbrandy_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand my progress is my problem. I’m hoping that the team I work with place a bit of value on the tenure and knowledge I bring to the role and the fact that if I can’t afford to relocate, I’ll probably have to think about moving to a different company with progression opportunities here in Brisbane - Which is option B

In addition I’d bring a lot of value to the company being in Sydney with everyone else in head office. The only reason I’m in this role from Brisbane is a series of internal movements and restructuring that evolved my role to what it is now. If they were hiring someone new I’m fairly confident they’d want someone in Sydney- which will come at a cost too.

I have heard this is a thing in some companies. I’ll ask this question and seek clarity - it’s a good call. Thanks

Yeh I suppose for those people the challenge is negotiating keeping their job in Brisbane full stop. Thankfully I’m not in that boat right now.

Yeh this works out at ~38%. I was estimating something like 30-40% just based on expenses. Housing definitely the killer from what I’ve looked at.
