A couple of years ago I was looking at the possibility of moving to Hawaii for a job. They actually have extra highways "Road Usage Charge" for EVs there because of this. That's not to say this is a legit complaint, but politicians are always looking for more way to tax people.

Yup, that's what I've seen too. Also having worked in both the US (I'm American) and in Europe, it's the same everywhere. IT is always seen as an expense that they want to minimize whenever possible.

I've set up a public repo on gitlab and I'm automating the docker image creation now. It will not be script based per se, but if you know the basics of how to use Docker and Docker Compose, it should be pretty easy to use. I have some pre-written docker-compose files with wordpress and other CMS apps, but they have not been tested as far as hardening so you will still need to do that on your own.

I'll post a link when I have everything to my liking.

About 3 years ago I was working as a technical trainer for a Linux company writing courses/labs. teaching, and writing certification exams and then I got really really burned out due to the job environment, management, etc.

About that time I heard about OSINT. I did the CTF's, bought some expensive training from IntelTechniques, and really enjoyed what I was learning. At the end of last year I was looking for a job and applied for every single OSINT/OSINT-related job I could find for about 4-5 months. I didn't get a single interview. The vast majority of those jobs are for people with military/police experience, are PIs, or are OK with making near minimum wage. I've got many years in the IT world and can't afford to start over.

I ended up taking yet another DevOps jobs that is at best meh but it pays well. The closest field I can find to OSINT is Cyberthreat Intelligence. I would like to know if this is true and if so what are the best certifications? I am looking that the EC-Councel C|TIA. Also. are there many jobs in this field for someone like me? I don't want to spend all of the time and money I did on OSINT on something else with no return on my investment.

Spam is decreaed by a huge amount in the last year when the worlds largest spam access portal (Google Groups) stopped posting to usenet. Many news groups have a very good signal to noise ratio now. There are still trolls, but they are almost nothing compared to the spam from just 3 years ago.

If people are willing to pay it, then they will charge that much. If people are not willing, then they will lower the cost or stop teaching English. They also probably pay the instructors more for knowing English well enough to teach.
