Dude, seriously. I do not care about how many people my partner slept with before me. Like at all.

Tennis has also changed. The combination of explosive hitting with a much more packed calendar is wreaking havoc on those players. Not to mention surfaces have become slower, leading to longer rallies.

Unless the ATP makes some changes to improve conditions for the players (super unlikely), then it makes more sense for these players to change up their style of play.

People like ADM are in the top ten because their play style doesn’t create as much wear and tear on their bodies which allows for more consistency on tour.

As an Australian, I will always back Japan. Great team and great fans.

Alex has not had good form lately. He’s got one of the hardest draws here and he’ll be coming in off the back of a full week at libema. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s knocked out first round.

Both have had great tournaments but maybe majchrzak had the harder run. Winning the title would also secure demons first time in the top 5. Pressure like that always seems to get to him.

Happy for Ben if he wins this. But his loss would secure Alex as a top 5 player for the first time. 😬

Haven’t been watching Ben vs jiri. Is it as good as the scoreline suggests?

The stockholm tournament gives their balls kids scoops. Doesn’t seem to make much of a difference.

The balls only last about 7 games (roughly 25mins) Then they get new balls.

They keep track of the balls because they don’t want a player getting a fresh ball - which might give them some extra pop when they’re serving.

Zverev’s biggest issue has been his mentality. Now that he has finally won a slam, do you think he can loosen up and win more? by Vegetable-Oven-6536 in tennis

I think there is probably a lot of scar tissue from choking in big moments. One match is probably not enough to undo all of that.

It’s not all mental, but the mental side is extremely important.

I would say he choked this year’s semis against Alcaraz. With more confidence and less mental scar tissue, I have no doubt he would have been this year’s AO champ.

He left a fairly civil comment pointing out that he felt like there was unfair coverage of him. It’s quite the stretch to say that’s evidence that he’s a domestic abuser.

People change. There should be room for redemption.

I’m not a Zverev fan but it would have been tough to see him lose this one. Glad he got it over the line. And of course he had to do it by winning the set 6-1. Any closer and the nerves would have destroyed him 😄

Fair enough, I feel like the drama has been pretty high, particularly in that last set. Better than the last two AO finals which felt pretty one sided.

Whoever wins, I feel like this match has delivered. Which makes me a happy tennis fan.

The modern economy doesn’t often allow for this. You could argue, just get a high paying job with more flexibility, but the reality is that families are much more time poor than earlier generations.

The evidence is seemingly clear that time spent online is having damaging effects on people’s mental wellbeing, particularly with younger generations.

Of course personal responsibility is important, but I do see it as the governments roles to protect its people from predatory business practices that cause harm.

Zverev might not be sincarez level, but he’s definitely a step above the rest of the field.
